Life in Southeast Asia the society had high tension

because of the Islamic rule by Mahmud of Ghazna

and his successors. The rulers viewed themselves
as foreign conquerors. They tried to keep strict
separation between the hindu believers and the
muslims. Many muslim rulers didnt agree with the
hindu believers but since there were so many, so
they accepted the religious difference. Most of the
Indians farmed their own tiny land. The rulers in
southeast asia had had 100,000 soldiers and and
900 elephants along with 20,000 horses. Another
king had high caste women sweep his palace. Because of the
location they were in the center of the trade routes. During the
this period though the trade declined because of all the fighting
that was going on among the states. However the trade was
still high in in the south and northwestern coast. These areas
are both located on the traditional trade routes. In these
southeast states they were formed by the use of Chinas and
Indias models. Most of the southeast asia is a chain of islands.
In southeast asia there is a mixture of races, cultures, and
religions. Because of the mountainous ranges this might
explain why asia
was never unified
under one rule. There were two main groups the
agriculture group and the trading societies. Most of
the societies in southeast asia gave greater rights
to women. A lot of women worked side by side with
the men and did a lot of trading activities.
