Trip to University of Philadelphia
The students in Mrs. Shanahans , Mrs. Schultzs
and Mr. Guthries classes went on a tour to
University of Pennsylvania. During the tour
Assistant Basketball coach Nat Graham, one of
Mr. Guthries college roommates, led the class
through The Palestra. There, we got to see the
Sport's History Museum of University of
Pennsylvania athletes. We got to take a behind
the scenes look at the basketball teams locker
rooms. Coach Graham talked to us about the
basketball teams top 5 core values, which are
shown in the picture. He also related those core
values to working in a career. Next we made our
way to Franklin Field and ran around the track. It is one of the most historical fields in the
United States. That is where the Penn Relays are held every spring. We toured through the
campus and ended up in one of the cafeterias. We got to order and eat with the students on
campus. All in all, it was a fun and exciting trip.

New Club At Pennsauken High School
A new club has been established at Pennsauken High School called the Aries Club. The
Aries Club was created to offer peer-to-peer tutoring in math. In an effort to supplement
the help provided by teachers, peer tutors who have demonstrated excellence in math
can provide peer-to-peer tutoring after school Monday-Thursday from 2:00PM to
2:35PM. These peer mentors have a passion for helping their fellow PHS students and
can use their knowledge of math to do so. Those seeking help can be matched with a
tutor on a weekly basis or they can just stop in when they need the extra support. Our
tutors can assist students in all math subject areas which include Algebra 1, Algebra 2,
Geometry, Pre Calculus, and Calculus. Any student having difficulty in math is
encouraged to attend!
