Proposed constituting of Parliamentary Students Society to Mr. Ibrahim (Director


Societies Board at GCU)
Got approval and recognition on university level for society on 15-10-2015 Ref: REG-
ACAD-11-6/15
Drafted constitution and structure of society with mentorship and help of societys
adviser Mr. Usman Amin Siddiqi, Political Science Department.
General Secretary of PSS for year 2016; held 6 sessions, oath taking ceremony,
certificate distribution and trained 60 students in understanding Parliamentary
Procedures and codes of conduct.
Contributions as President PSS
Held membership desk, interviewed 270 students through a panel and selected 60
members for Parliamentary Training.
Orientation and Oath taking ceremony chaired by Dr. Khalid Manzoor Butt.
Nominations and Holding of internal elections for Prime Minister, Opposition Leader,
Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
First Parliamentary Session conducted at N M Rashid Hall on merger of FATA.
Second Parliamentary Session conducted at Physics Seminar Hall on the following
resolutions
Resolution(s):

I. This House believes that National Institutions which are in deficit, such as PIA, Pakistan Railways & Pakistan Steel Mills, should be
privatized because they are burden on National Economy. Proposer: Arsam Tufail Butt.

II. This House believes that theres a dire need of changing the foreign policy of Pakistan as the current situation is alarming that our
relationships with our neighbors are on the verge of collapsing. Proposer: Arsam Tufail Butt.

III. The House demands that Colonizers should apologies of their Colonial Crimes committed in this region. Proposer: Kaleem Hyder
Tarrar (Prime Minister)

IV. This House demands that government should set up code of conduct to regulate online media and journalism. Proposer: Kaleem
Hyder Tarrar (Prime Minister)
Third Parliamentary Session conducted at N M Rashid Hall on the following resolutions
Resolution:

I. This House demands that Government should improve National Transportation of goods by introducing reforms in aerial, naval &
land transport system. Proposed by: Makhdoom Shan (Opposition Leader)

II. This House believes that GB should be constitutionally recognized as the 5 th Province of Pakistan so that people of GB can enjoy
the same rights and privileges as being enjoyed by the people of other provinces. Proposed by: Abdul Basit (Member Parliament)
