Abstract

Teacher exists because of students are there in the class, and students exist because of The
teacher .

The ASSOCHAM report(April 27,2016) says that only 7 per cent of the MBA graduates are
actually employable. And around 340 B-schools are expected to wind up by 2016. Low
education quality coupled with the economic slowdown, campus recruitments have gone down
by a whopping 45 per cent.The flaw lies with the negligible hands-on training provided atTier 2
and 3 colleges and this poor training does not meet the needs of the corporate world. Even the
quality of IIM/IIT students passing out now compared to last 15 years has come down due to the
quality of school education. The faculty is also another problem as few people enter the teaching
profession due to low salaries and the entire eco-system needs to be revamped. The case method
teaching in classrooms is great. Which deals with real-life examples and enlightening the grey
area. It is valuable to learn to work through solving a problem in all areas and learning how
they came together in a holistic manner instead of just in one area. To improve the students'
performance a number of suggestions are made of ways in which more use could be made of
experiential and case based learning.
