1. A double circuit three phase line is shown in fig. The conductors a, a, b, b and c, c
belong to the same phase respectively. The radius of each conductor is 1.5 cm.Find the
inductance of the double - ckt line in mH/Km/phase.

2. Explain GMD and GMR also write advantage of per unit system.
3. Compare underground and overhead transmission line.
4. With reference to overhead transmission line. Explain conductor configuration, span
spacing and sag.
5. An insulator string for 66kv line has 4 discs .The shunt capacitance between each joint
and metal works is 10% of the capacitance of the each disc. Find voltage distribution across
string and string efficiency.
