Description ID

3 Unbalanced load flow results for reduced elements (such as breakers) are #20825
now consistent if the calculation is repeated. DIG30042

2.1.2 Short-Circuit Analysis

Description ID

3 IEC or VDE method: Any fault to neutral on a line is now correctly #21470
checked.

3 Calculation of idc and Iasy is now correct for IEC or VDE edition 2016 #21619
methods.

3 RT2 Analysis: Fault current calculations on breakers have been corrected #21579
by proper consideration of opposite bus-side cubicles.

3 Protection objects are now correctly checked for missing characteristic #21493
type before calculation.

3 ANSI: The multiplication factors for symmetrically-rated breakers with a 2- #21457

cycle opening time (m:Mfsym2c), and the associated current (m:Isym2c),
are now correctly calculated in the following case: if the fault type has an
earth connection, the NACD mode is local, predominantly local or inter-
polated, and the calculated X/R ratio exceeds 130.

3 The time-distance plot now displays and records results correctly when #20945
the Calculate Relay Tripping option for the complete short-circuit used by DIG30287
the sweep is set to Transient Values or Mixed Mode.

IEC60909 Edition 2016:

3 Solved angle issue for current injection from full-size converter which #21223
lead to a large initial break current in specific cases. DIG30714

2.1.5 Power Equipment Models

Description ID

3 RMS simulation: The application of a load ramp event when the option #21087
Allow load-ramp event is disabled is now correctly handled.

3 MV load: #21102
The zero-sequence transformer impedance is now correctly consid-
ered in unbalanced calculations (short-circuit, harmonics, RMS);

The harmonic load flow now correctly handles the model when a
P,Q (generation) is defined and the load is unsupplied.

3 If one QDSL model references other QDSL models as inputs or outputs, #21650
the initialisation order is now correct.

3 Series filter: DPL function GetImpedance() now returns the value for #20961
the reactance in Ohm. DIG30305

3 RMS simulation: Performance improvements for option A-stable integra- #21471

tion algorithm for all models.

3 DC load flow using according to Primary Control: External grid and ex- #21335
tended/Ward equivalents are now correctly considered.

5.1.13 Arc-Flash Analysis

Description ID

- The Short-Circuit Trace calculation has been improved (for details please Relates
see #19358). This affects calculations performed with relay tripping times to:
determined by Iteration. The large majority of cases will see no difference #19358

For cases where multiple relays are required to operate to clear an in-
cident, times may differ from calculations performed in earlier versions.
Most cases will result in shorter clearing times due to the better approxi-
mation of IDMT characteristics. For special clearing sequences, a slightly
increased time might be observed.
