Families Statement

Dear Families,

As mentioned above, statement below demonstrating on how observation will be shared

to families and strategies being used

One of the most important types of documentation methods that educators needs to be
familiar with are observations. Observations are crucial for all early childhood settings and
are used to build an understanding of a childs skills, interests, abilities and focuses on what
they can do. Observations will be shared with each family individually with my observed
child through portfolio which will be printed and given out to respective family members.
Observation is being written through many different ways which is learning story, photo
narrative, anecdotal and running record. Face to face communication will be done to discuss
with families in regards to the observation.

This is to ensure that it gives family an understanding of their childs development and
learning. It provides parents an opportunity to see their childs learning in action and what
approach you are going to take to further extend on their childs skills and abilities.
