Step 2 Directions: Reflect on evidence gathered during your teacher preparation program that identified your areas of strength.
My mentor teacher and my university supervisor gave me constructive feedback and notes throughout my student teaching program, which was helpful for
improving and developing my teaching skills. My evaluations highlighted my abilities to integrate technology into my lessons, as well as engage my
students in a variety of ways. I always enjoy when my students are engaged in the lessons, and ask further questions on the content we are learning about.
My supervisors also have praised my ability to lead my students and transition between activities. My observation evaluations have also shown praise
when it comes to my content knowledge, which is something that I have been continually developing through my credential program. World history is a
particularly difficult subject, in that there is a lot of history spread out over a long time span and many different areas throughout the course content that we
cover according to standards. I also prepare before lessons, and work on examples that I can use to better explain to my students in their terms. My student
teaching process has been challenging, yet extremely rewarding in my accomplishments and successes I have achieved throughout the program.

Step 3 Directions: Reflect on evidence gathered during your teacher preparation program that identified needed growth areas.
One area of growth that I have been working on, along with my supervisors suggestions, is to create relevancy between historical content and the world
my students live in today. I am continually trying to come up with connections to make that will help my students understand better and place more value
on their lessons. I also would like to continue to grow in my ability to establish my own classroom management procedures and consistency, due to the fact
that most of my teaching experiences have involved taking on other teachers classroom rules. I think I would find it more effective to enforce rules and
procedures that I deemed important and necessary. I also would like to grow in my ability to reflect on my teaching and lessons, and to continue
developing professionally.
