1. Information of the subject:

Course title: International Payment


Course code: FIN441
Credit hours: 3
Pre-requisite: After finishing the following course: Introduction to Finance and
Monetary.
Level: College of Finance and Banking, College of Manangement of Business

2. Course objective:

Knowledge:

At the end of the course, student will be able to:


Understand about the Document goods
Understand about International payment methods (Telegraphic Transfer, Clean
collection, Documentary collection, Cash against document, Documentary credit);
Explain the daily change of the exchange rates and the gold price;
Have the professional knowledge to do in international department in a bank;
Help students to practice the foreign exchange transactions, payment the export
contracts by the international payment methods in the import and export companies
Thinking:
Developing critical thinking to give solid arguments to debate the opinions of the
experts and classmates about the issues and case studies in the course.
Skills:

Apply the above knowledge to synthesize, analyze and evaluate the events taking
place in the economy, financial markets
Develop skills of presentation and teamwork.
Develop problem-solving skills
Attitudes: Honesty, disciplinary respect and responsibility.

3. Course description:

This is a compulsory subject. Providing the basic knowledge to students, after finishing
the course, they can work in the international payment department at the commercial
banks or work in import and export company.

4. Role of the course:

The module provides knowledge and skills for students to complete the requirements of
training program outcome.

5. Teaching Methods:

Teaching combines theory with practical situations discussion


Read course materials before each lecture.
Complete all homework
Participate in group presentations and topics essay group

6. Methods of assessment
- 10% of the points obtained from attending in class

- 20% of the points obtained from group activities


- 20% of the points obtained from mid-term test

- 50% of module marks taken from the final exam
