1. The Government of Mozambique (GoM) has applied for a credit from the
Contact Us
International Development Association (IDA), toward the cost of the National Water
Resources Development Project, and it intends to apply part of this for the payments
under the contract for Consultancy Services for "Strategic Technical Assistance`` for
Project Implementation;

2. The consulting services ("the services") include, but are not limited, to providing know
how, technical expertise, supporting DNA in the implementation of the project,
coordination and management of NWRDP1 activities related with procurement
processing, disbursement funds, maintenance of project documentation, including
Designated Account reconciliations and M&E reports; global technical support, including
engineering management and oversight of environmental and social aspects;
communication, monitoring and evaluation functions;

3. The National Directorate of Water (DNA) now invites eligible consulting firms
("Consultants") to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants
should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and
relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are: (i) overall
experience of the company, (ii) experience in Africa and similar working environments,
and (iii) similar works done;

4. Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub
consultancy to enhance their qualifications;

5. Consultants will be selected in accordance with the Quality and Cost Based Selection
procedures set out in the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Emplo ment of
Consultants b Bank Borrowers, January 2011;
