E Course Outline: 2017


Teacher: Mr. Bradley

This course is designed to engage students in various physical education activities for developing
physical literacy, a healthy lifestyle, and an understanding of the various physical and mental
health benefits of exercise.

Timeline (Approximate)
Cross Country: 3 Weeks
Flag Football: 2 Weeks
Soccer: 1 Week
Volleyball: 3 Weeks
Basketball: 4 Weeks
Skating: Approximately until Christmas

Expectations:
1. Students are expected to follow school-wide principles of respect and mature conflict
resolution. Respect for each other, our classroom, our school, and ourselves.
- Dont cause problems for anyone else
2. Students are expected to raise their hands to ask questions, questions are highly
encouraged, and Im happy to answer but raising your hands lets me keep track of things.
3. All students will be in class in time with the appropriate learning materials (a writing
utensil, any note sheets, paper work, assignments, and a binder)
4. Students are expected to use their class time wisely, and in a manner that supports their
learning.
5. Students are expected to hand in all assignments and projects on their assigned due dates.

P.E. Attire: It is required for all students to change into a gym strip for each class unless
instructed by teacher. Acceptable gym strip consists of running shoes, a t-shirt and modest shorts
or sweatpants. If the class will be outdoors, a hoodie or sweatshirt is allowed. If you have any
questions or concerns, please come talk to me as soon as possible.
If you are unable to participate for any reason, a note from a parent or Doctor must be presented
to the teacher prior to class. The student is unable to participate an alternate assignment will be
given and expected to be completed. If no Doctor or parent note is present and student refuses to
participate then a 0 will be given for that day.

Assessment:
You will be graded based on daily participation in both effort and ability. Assessment will also
be conducted throughout the unit by observation and small assignments in written format.
