Dear Holly Glen and Radix Elementary Parents/Guardians:

I am writing to inform you of our Holly Glen Elementary School situation since we moved out of the school in October
and re-located classes into Radix Elementary School, Oak Knoll Elementary School and Williamston High School due to
mold testing and remediation at Holly Glen.

Our students and staff will remain housed in these buildings for the remainder of the 2017-2018 school year. There is
no truth whatsoever that the Holly Glen Elementary School will be torn down.

We have learned that there are moisture issues surrounding the exterior foundation of the building that must corrected
and water is a concern coming off the roof through drain pipes and spilling into the ground and going under the
foundation.

We also must install a new HVAC system to maintain proper heating and air conditioning ventilation throughout the
building.

The annual end of the year school fairs will take place on Holly Glen Elementary School grounds as scheduled and at
Radix Elementary School on their grounds as scheduled. Portable toilets will be located at these sites for usage on these
fair days.

I would like to commend all of our staff at Holly Glen, Radix, Oak Knoll, and our high school, on the outstanding
professional manner in which they have worked throughout these challenging times. All staff have been supportive of
each other and made our students comfortable in the changed environment of sharing other buildings during this
situation. Special thanks also go out to the parents and community that have provided generous support our students
and staff.
