It is a fact that human beings can perceive music but whether it stimulates
our brain to the point of developing our abilities is to be discussed. What is
also doubted is how important this global language is when it comes to
education. Through both these texts we will analyze these topics.

The first passage argues that since we are a musical species, every one of us
can feel and understand music. In my opinion, the writer has a point.
Although we may not perform it ourselves, only by listening to it the sound is
somehow making an impact on our brains. Music can get to our deepest
emotions, being able to change our lives for the better. This would explain
why through the history it has always been present in humans lives.

The second text questions whether music should be implemented in schools

or not. I personally agree with the argument that the study of music has so
many advantages, and that it is just as valuable as learning to add and
subtract, and even to write or read. One's potential is nourished by music,
what is more, there are several studies that show how every function of the
brain activates when playing a musical instrument. However, we should
acknowledge and respect different cultures and also tastes, if we are able to
take into account these factors, music in schools is a guaranteed success.

In conclusion, both texts have in common the idea of music's benefit in an

individual's development, not only educationally speaking but emotionally.
This is why I have no doubt we should encourage everyone to be surrounded
by a musical environment.
