Edwards, 55, of Medina, Ohio, served as head
coach of Team USA from 2004-2009 after serving
as an assistant from 1991-1996 and again from
2000-2003. She also served as head coach of Junior
Team USA from 2002-2003.
During her tenure as Team USA head coach, she
led the team to more than 90 medals, including 47
gold medals. A highlight victory came at the 2006
World Bowling Mens Championships in Busan,
South Korea, where Team USA broke a 35-year
drought to claim team gold. She also helped the pro-
grams transition after professional players were
allowed to compete in international events, starting
in 2008.
She has been the head coach of Puerto Ricos
national team since 2010.
Mack, 46, of Indianapolis, has won more than 70
titles around the world and was one of the first
Americans to compete extensively overseas, help-
ing pave the way for bowling to become a more
global sport. Through the late 1990s and into the
2000s, before there was a World Bowling Tour,
Mack won titles on five continents, in more than 30
countries, and earned the World Bowler of the Year
Award from Bowlers Journal three times.
Among his titles are the 2003, 2004 and 2006
Bahrain Open, 2003 Indonesian International Open
and 2002 Qatar Open, events now recognized by the
Professional Bowlers Association as PBA Tour
titles. He made one appearance on Team USA, win-
ning gold in trios and silver in singles, team, all-
events and Masters at the 2003 World Bowling
Mens Championships in Malaysia, and he earned
the Year for Bowling.
In addition to selecting the preceding four mem-
bers for the 2018 class, the USBC Hall of Fame
Committee slated nine bowlers for the Superior
Performance national ballot that will be voted on by
a panel of USBC Hall of Fame members, USBC
Board members and veteran bowling writers.
The mens ballot will have six nominees: Dave
Ferraro of Kingston, New York; Bryan Goebel of
Wichita, Kansas; Randy Pedersen of Clermont,
Florida; Mike Scroggins of Amarillo, Texas; Mark
Williams of Beaumont, Texas; and Danny Wiseman
of Baltimore.
Three competitors were placed on the womens
ballot: Marianne DiRupo of Succasunna, New
Jersey; Tennelle Milligan of Arlington, Texas; and
Tammy Turner of West Palm Beach, Florida.
The induction ceremony for the 2018 USBC Hall
of Fame Class will take place April 25 at the USBC
Convention at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno,
Nevada. The class will include the four selected by
the USBC Hall of Fame Committee and those elect-
ed for Superior Performance.
Through 2017, there are 419 members of the
USBC Hall of Fame 218 in Superior Performance,
117 in Meritorious Service, 50 in Veterans, 20 in
Pioneers and 14 in Outstanding USBC
Performance.
The USBC Hall of Fame was created in 2005 by
merging the former American Bowling Congress
and Womens International Bowling Congress Halls
of Fame.

Montvale, NJ Hi-Tor I escaped the cellar in this weeks youth travel-
ers action by taking five of seven points from Montvale in a high-scor-
ing, well-played match, 3006-2953. As a team, Hi-Tor averaged better
than 200/player/game, rolling consistent top-notch net numbers of 812-
815-812: 2439. Matt Cona proved to be a lot sharper than his prior
weeks initial threesome, firing 816, the sessions high handicap set with
a scratch triple deuce 201-226-233: 660; his mates all struck gold as
well: Vinny Avallone 240: 622, Mark Shapiro 224-216 and Alisha Khan
224. For Montvale, Pascack Valley junior Brian Biml had a breakout
week, posting the mornings high game 257 and high series 673. Fifteen-
year old Chris Torres added a stellar 225-193-213: 631, anchor Henry
Tipping 232-204 and Logan Priesel with 196, his highest sanctioned
game to date.
With the exception of anchor Mercedes Morel, the high-flying Hi-Tor
II distaffers employed a different lineup, again showing their depth,
blasting a net 2399 as they took over the top spot via a convincing sweep
of Lodi, 2852-2602; the New Yorkers battered Montvales maples with
eight deuces, led by Nicole Cona 234-223: 644, Olivia Kohut 213-201,
Nancy Kohut 213-200 and Mercedes Morel 210-201. The two squads
will clash again next week in a position encounter at Hi-Tor Lanes.
Holiday regained possession of third place, sweeping three games
from short-handed Bowler City I, 2789-2595. Igniting the victors were
Jared Duncan 642: 222-197-223, David Neil 633: 206-232-195 and
Rachel Duncan with an opening 211 score. BC Is Arielle Wallace con-
tinued pounding the plastic-coats, smashing a closing 253 to finish with
623; the Hackensack H.S. junior raised her average to just shy of 198.
Thirteen-year-old Peyton Esposito contributed a second game 178 for
the BC I squad.
Surging T-Bowl exploded with a 863 net in its finale to come away
with five of seven points in its faceoff with Bowler City II, 2941-2732.
Scorching the pin decks for the winners were a pair of Wayne Hill soph-
omores: Dylan Heinold 642: 205-181-256 and Tommy Luchetta 639:
203-196-240; leadoff kegler Chris Rysz chipped in with a fine 205: 584
set. The normally high-scoring Bowler City II team, despite using three
players averaging 200+, could only muster a pair of deuces in the match:
Peter Bondy 211 and Derek Lewandowski 226; Derek posted a 601 set,
high for the quartet. Other creditable games for BC II were Steve

Northeast Regional Collegiate Challenge
The all new Northeast Regional Collegiate Challenge, , will be held
on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Playdrome Lanes Toms River, NJ.
This years event, sanctioned by the USBC Collegiate Division,
will feature one squad, a 7-game team block starting at 9 am, with reg-
istration and check in at 8 am. The tournament, open to all collegiate
mens and womens bowling teams nationwide, is being sponsored by
Solar Source, a family-owned and operated solar company and
Playdrome Lanes, Toms River, NJ.
The 1st Place Team will receive $1,000 scholarship money, and the
2nd Place Team will take home $500 in scholarship money.
Team trophies will be awarded for 1st & 2nd Place as well as
Individual 1st & 2nd Place High Game & High Series Medals.
