This excerpt is from a book he wrote called Genre Analysis. The thesis includes, discourse

community having the assumption that discourse operates within conventions, also used to
cluster the ideas, and that discourse is epistemic or constitutive of groups knowledge. Some

issues, he addressed, was the idea of discourse community, is not defined yet, but like other

terms, it is suggestive to the center of a set of ideas rather than a settled notion. Social view,

has concerns raising many questions as well. Another issue addressed, is that definitions

emphasize the reciprocity of discourse and community suffer the fate of ending up circular.

Also, included, is literacy taking away locality and parochiality, for members to

communicate in distant places.

Will, Madeleine C. "Educating children with learning problems: A shared responsibility."

1986.

Beliefs on educating children with learning problems is that children with certain

disabilities need special attention. There are ways to help make it easier for them. They also

need patience when dealt with. I know there are certain programs specialized in this

department. They may need certain vocabulary or terminology when teaching a topic. This

paper includes the author's argument by including pathos, ethos, and logos. Author points

out the different issues claimed by the teacher's and how effective they are showing the

increase in success.Author uses logos, in her argument by using evidence and factual

statements to support their claim. Pathos gives emotional opinions and shapes different

ideas, as to how we can view different points.

The rhetorical analysis consists of understanding the difference between ethos, pathos

logos. Ethos primarily deals with the credibility and data associated with it. Pathos deals

with the emotion that is felt or thought of when reading a paper. Logos is concerned with

the logic of the writer's argument and the factual statements.
