Thesis Statement:

People will be surprised to know that some have tried to point out positive sides of racism in

High school, but racism hinders the academic achievements especially in the minorities

because they are the most vulnerable target.

Detailed Outline

I. Introduction

A. Racism has been one of the core reasons of drop out cases at schools. Being

discriminated, students start hating school as a result, they stay away from it.

1. The author : points out in a study that many principals of the schools didnt

want to acknowledge that they have racism in their schools (Ryan 63).

2. There are findings of racism from a group study, with some samples of High

Schools students in England (Andreouli 171).

B.Thesis: Some tried to explain positive sides of racism in High School, but it hinders the

academic achievements especially in the minorities because they are the most vulnerable.

II. Presence of racism in High Schools inhibits successful achievement and produces

depression on the students, and they also they do not want to admit that racism existed.

A. Many principals say that produces depression the study and were reluctant to

acknowledge that racism occurred in their schools.

1. Those who did accept it, moreover, tended to accentuate its

Insignificant matter (Ryan 63)

2. Also they are afraid that by studying race will make more racism.

(Bolgatz 29)

B. White, teachers wonder how they will be able to introduce multicultural and

accept that racism is real. .

1- Race and racism are difficult historical and actual phenomena that students

need to know if they are going to coup effectively with the racial tensions in

our society. (Bolgatz 28).

2- Some discussions, and also some poems reading to find if the whites know of

the existence of racism, done by students in a way to find the true

(Bolgatz33).

3. Which was important because students in the class questioned or did not

accepted racism (Bolgatz 33).Also graphics on fig (1-2) show some information

on this matter .

III. Some arguments are difficult to understand, but if we studied step by step, we will arrive

eventually to the answer.

A. Some arguments show that difficulty in assigning events and behaviors to racism

is due to a standard rule against prejudice.

1. The form telling prejudice scenes is so very well united with the I am not

racist.

2. The social fundament of racism should be the subject of the social

psychological analyses of racism. (Billing 20)

B. The wisdom integrating schools it is an excellent step forward, and argument very

important (Andreoli 10)

The schools in the United States were integrating African Americans into formerly segregated
Stambuk 3

schools in the late 1960s and early 1970s .After ten years the supreme Court overturned the

separate but equal doctrine set forth by Plessey v. Ferguson .This research was made to

explore the learning places of Black schools not providing adequate education for students.

Because through integration, Black children would receive the right education, and thats the

right argument (Pellegrino 209).

1. The education needed for the Blacks students need to be done in a good

High School, to prove a good argument forward.

2. The teachers and educators need to give recognition of the African

American education, so that argument will be proven right.

IV. We need lots of learning and wisdom to agree to principles to help our discussion.

A. Think that, at any given moment in the conversation, the other person is doing the

best he or she can. Chances are, its true.

1. The practice on these simple rules will help us in the future.

2. We need phrases like, Tell me about , how did the faculty at your last

school respond to ?

3. Avoid language that blames and candid conversation (wormeli 20).

B. Some expressions of racism in school are very bad and should be avoided.

1. Name calling and teasing with verbal abuse and exclusion with bulling and

further more the chauvinism and bigotry. The TN NAACP deeply concerned

about legislative actions, increasing awareness. Focus Act will not be good

(TSU).

2. Should be amended the racism hurts, with frustration and puzzlement.

3-We see that there is great disappointment when we share culture at the High

School.

C. We remember the riots in the High School.

Stambuk 4

1. The areas of the school are in a constant fear of violence.

2. The teacher is involved but unable to do something.

3. Discussions about racism in the school and show the teachers frustration

and poor academic achievement.

4. The article talks about a history of the Unified School District (LAUSD),

and the tensions of the minorities at the time of the Los Angeles riots in

1992,and the necessary duty of the teachers talks about racism in the

school and show frustration and poor academic achievement.

V. Conclusion

The use of governmental power to deny or grant people of the rights, respect, representation

and resources based on their skin color should be avoided in High school, because those are

different perspectives and experiences of racism.

Learning more about: how the racism demoralizes and debilitates confidence? , will help us

to know better the negatives effects of the racism ,and recite poems talking about racism.

In no circumstances we find that the racism is positive and finally we arrived to the appositive

argument that tell us the negatives consequences of the racism .

This statistical analysis with students between 11 and 16 years old.

(fig 1 and 2)
Stambuk 8

The graphics with the statistical analysis give us good information that tell us

were the most of racism is found .We see that (TDS) is the Total Difficulties Scores ).

This well-crafted graphic it can convey racism and non racism .It can say the thing without

saying the thing, by showing you. We can see that when they are older all ethnic minorities

groups reported encountering more racism that the white .The minorities also attended

schools that that were categorize as deprived . Clearly we see that the racism it is not good

and produces very bad results for the students . Sometimes we tried to ignore the very

existence of racism and this produces the worst outcome ever for the students. There is

no bright side or beneficial side to racism ,and we can add that nothing positive will ever

comes from it . Furthermore it will block and hamper with the students education

(Patterson).

Introduction

The High Schools that students are attending have some forms of racism .This is the prejudice or

discrimination toward the students that could be verbal abuse ,exclusion or name calling .Racism has been

one of the core reasons of drop out cases at schools. The author of Leading Diverse Schools point out

in a study that many principals of the schools didnt want to acknowledge that they have racism in their

schools (Ryan 63).The students from different races find it difficult to make friends from the other races .

Racism affects the students because they reject their own culture and values .There are findings of racism

from a focus group study with a mixed sample of secondary school students in England .It was located in

other times, places, and people or was denied altogether. Issues like racism are usually ignored because

may reflect bad on the principal and the High School .This is one of the hardest things to admit to having a

fault about the racial prejudice .The students appears to want to stop the prejudice and try to comfort with

another culture this produces identity confusion. They become insecure of who and where they should be.

Definitely the teachers had been somehow affected by racism .They are being teased by fellow teachers or

students , and, as a result , they lose confidence ,and that make them lose confidence in their professional

teaching .They end up not going to work and may be become depressed ,and this affects the educational

system. Therefore, racism is now one of the most crucial issues and we must address it in the most

important way. We need to take measures in High Schools that will prevent cases of racism .Also the view

points of some people believing that the racist experience can help an individual to grow into a stronger

person. This argument sounds very strong .They think that they can become more resilient because of the

way they resist .This argument contains many errors because the racism produces low self-esteem , and

therefore it will never be successful. People will be surprised to know that some people have tried to point

out some positive sides of racism in High School , but the racism hinders academic achievement especially

in the minorities because they are the most vulnerable target .
