ETaC comes in two flavors; ETaC Complete - A merged file with all of the towns and cities included; Or,
ETaC Modular - The un-merged files. Should you want to select your towns a la carte.
Do not EVER install both versions lol. Its a one or the other type situation.
I know it's kind of a pain, as this mod updates like constantly lol. But generally speaking, I always try
and do my best to resolve any bugs that are reported to me, to work out any mod incompatibilities, or
to make any changes that you guys have requested, as quickly as humanly possible. If you are using an
older version, there is a good chance that whatever was bothering you about the mod has already been
addressed in later updates.
Forums
(Per nonoodles suggestion) (and because I never turn down an opportunity to compulsively organize
something)... This mod now has FORUMS. All of which contain (at least somewhat) helpful information
on things such as compatibility, bugs and troubleshooting, merging ETaC files and/or patches with
TES5Edit and various other stuff and junk.
While this was done mostly to free up the main comment page for all the random [generally incoherent]
drivel I typically opt to bombard you with, in lieu of say... being actually "helpful" or some other such
nonsense, there is still some valuable information over there. So please try checking those things out.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Step #2 ETaC now includes an option to install a MCM version which will allow you to customize some
of the mod elements in-game. To use the MCM version you must have SkyUI / SKSE.
If you have SkyUI; Place the ETaC Resources.esm file from the 00 ESM MCM folder into your
Skyrim/Data directory.
If you do NOT have SkyUI; Place the ETaC Resources.esm file from the 00 ESM folder into your
Skyrim/Data directory.
This is NOT an optional file. You must be using one of the .esm files for this mod to work properly
regardless of which versions youre going to choose to use shortly.
Step #3 - If you want to install the complete version with ALL of the towns, follow the instructions under
the "Complete" heading below. For modular version, the "Modular" heading on pg4.
Step #3 - Place contents of either "01 Complete" (for the full version with interior changes to the inns)
OR "01 Complete - No Inns" (for the full version WITHOUT interior changes to the inns) into your "Data"
folder. Please be sure to move BOTH the .esp, the "Sounds" folder and the "SEQ" folder.
If you are using the mod FaTT IV by MadFrenchie - DO NOT INSTALL DRAGON BRIDGE SOUTH.
Dawnstar: If you wish to use the alternate vanilla-style house textures for Dawnstar place the contents
of "04 Dawnstar - Vanilla Meshes" into your "Data" folder.
Falkerath: If you wish to use the alternate vanilla-style house textures for Falkreath, place the contents
of "04 Falkreath - Vanilla Meshes" into your "Data" folder.
Morthal: If you wish to use the alternate vanilla-style house textures for Morthal, place the contents of
"04 Morthal - Vanilla Meshes" into your "Data" folder.
Winterhold: If you wish to use the alternate vanilla-style house textures for Winterhold, place the
contents of "04 Winterhold - Vanilla Meshes" into your "Data" folder.
Dragon Bridge Sign Texture: If you wish to use the vanilla Four Shields Tavern sign, place the contents of
"05 Dragon Bridge Sign - Vanilla Meshes" into your "Data" folder.
Horse Saddles: If you wish to use the vanilla meshes for the saddles of ETaC added horses, place the
contents of "05 Horse Saddle - Vanilla Meshes" into your "Data" folder.
If you wish to KEEP the new ETaC textures and/or meshes, then don't do anything with the "04" or
"05" folders as the new textures are used by default in the mod.
You only need to transfer the files if you wish to use vanilla textures/meshes,
or if you have some other house/sign/horse saddle texture replacer youd like to override with.
Step #3 - Place contents of the "02" folders for whichever towns you want to use into your "Data"
folder. (For example: "02 Riverwood", "02 Morthal", Etc.) The standard "02" folders contain the .esp
that include changes to the inn interiors -OR- If you wish to use the alternate inn-less versions (without
any changes to the inn interiors) take the files from the "02 No-Inn" folders (i.e. "02 Riverwood - No
Inn", "02 Morthal - No Inn", Etc.)

To make your lives a bit easier, Ive included a batch file which will remove all of ETaCs files and
folders for you, should you not want to go to the trouble of tracking them all down.
If you are skeptical of its contents, please feel free to take a look at its innards with really any text editor
program (something like notepad or notepad++) its wholly uninteresting. I assure you.
Step #1: Take "ETaC Uninstaller" file and place in it your MAIN Skyrim directory. (Meaning where
your Launcher.exe and TESV.exe files are living. NOT to be confused with your Skyrim/Data
folder where this does NOT go. Sooo main Skyrim file. Not the Skyrim/Data file.
But, if for some reason you hate people making things too easy for you, you can do all the stuff the
batch file would have done yourself ala
ETaC - RESOURCES.esm;
ETaC - RESOURCES.bsa;
ETaC - Complete.esp;
ETaC - Dragon Bridge South.esp;
If you have installed any of the optional textures, remove the folder "mjb_towns" from your
"Skyrim\Data\Textures" and "Skyrim\Data\Meshes" folder.
ETaC - RESOURCES.esm;
ETaC - RESOURCES.bsa;
ETaC - Riverwood; Ivarstead; Darkwater; Dragon Bridge; Etc. Etc.
ETaC - Dragon Bridge South.esp;
Then remove any of the ETaC files you have from your "Data\SEQ" folder. (aka "ETaC - Morthal.SEQ";
"ETaC - Dawnstar.SEQ" etc.)
Then remove any of the ETaC folders you have from your " Data\Sounds\Voice " folder. (aka "ETaC -
Morthal "; "ETaC - Dawnstar " etc.)
If you have installed any of the optional textures, remove the folder "mjb_towns" from your
"Skyrim\Data\Textures" and "Skyrim\Data\Meshes" folder.
As a general rule, the order of the patches should always mirror the order of the .esps but be loaded
after both. So if your load order should differ at all, you still want the patches loading after BOTH ETaC
and whatever mod they're patching it for. ETaC's patches are always going to have to load like this...
Mod "A".esp
ETaC - WhateverTowns.esp
ETaC - Mod "A" Patch.esp
Mostly because ETaC adds large structures, tons of objects and changes the navmesh accordingly, so if
someone moved a barrel to accommodate a lamp or something, you want ETaC's changes to override.
That way the barrel doesn't end up floating in space or so NPCs aren't trying to walk through buildings.
The issue with suggested load orders starts when you throw in multiple patched mods. So I can tell you
where ETaC will want to be, but as for where your other mods want to be loaded relative to each
other... all I can give you is my best guess based on my understanding of what they do. I'd also like to
stress again that this is only sort of a "general guideline" I'm unfamiliar with a lot of the load order
requirements of the others mods as they might relate to each other, so if the creator InterestingNPCs
says that mod should be loaded after Moonpath or whatnot, I'd take his word for it over mine lol.
INTERESTING NPCs
All of the changes 3DNPCs requires have been built in to ETaC (meaning, all necessary quest markers
and items have been returned) HOWEVER, to avoid any weird object placement, you should now be
loading ETaC AFTER 3DNPCs. Obviously this is completely up to you, but where there were things that I
couldn't leave in their vanilla locations, they've been relocated to ETaC-friendly places. This will NOT
impact 3DNPCs at all, since the markers are still there, but if you want them to be not floating or clipping
with houses, ETaC now goes after.
} ETaC Resources.esm;
} moonpath.esm;
} moonpath_questdata.esp;
} EnhancedLightsandFX.esp;
} ELFX - Exteriors.esp (if you're using it);
} ELFX - Moonpath.esp;
} ETaC - Falkreath.esp;
} ETaC - Falkreath - ELFX Patch.esp; and,
} ETaC - Falkreath - Moon Patch.esp
The same is true for the ETaC Complete.esps (obviously just substituting it for the Falkreath.esps) -- With
this load order I was able to run all three mods with no issues. The Moonpath door only becomes
blocked when using both patches if you're loading the Falkreath ELFX Patch AFTER the Moon Patch - This
causes the walls to return to their vanilla positions.
DRAGON BRIDGE SOUTH
If using Dragon Bridge South.esp with modular Dragon Bridge it should be loaded directly after that file.
So for example:
ETaC - Riverwood.esp
ETaC - Rorikstead.esp
ETaC - Dragon Bridge.esp
ETaC - Dragon Bridge South.esp
ETaC - Morthal.esp
Or if using complete, it should be loaded directly after the Complete.esp. And so on and so forth.
