1. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is an autonomous body established under an
Act of Parliament.
2. Service under the AIIMS is governed by that Act and the Rules & Regulations framed there
under.
3. All posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of similar
status at Delhi/New Delhi.
4(i). Out of 16 posts of Assistant Professor of Anaesthesiology (Post Code No. 2), 1 post (OBC) is
for Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Centre (JPNATC).
(ii). Out of 03 posts of Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine (Post Code No. 09), 1 post(OBC)
is for JPNATC.
(iii). Out of 04 posts of Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics (Post Code No. 17), 1 post (UR) is for
JPNATC.
(iv). Out of 02 posts of Assistant Professor of Psychiatry (Post Code No. 22), 1 post (OBC) is for
National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDC), Ghaziabad.
(v). Out of 02 posts of Assistant Professor of Urology (Post code- 26), 01 post (SC) is for
Andrology and the other post (OBC) is for Renal Transplantation in the Department of
Urology.

6. Upper Age Limit:
(ii) Upper age limit shall be determined as on last date of online submission of
applications.
7. Applicants who do not possess the essential qualification up-to the last date of online
submission of application(s), will not be considered.
8. The effective date up-to which the requisite experience must be completed will be
31.01.2017. However, in the event of completion of selection process prior to 31.01.2017,
appointment(s) to selected candidate(s) will only be made on fulfilling the eligibility
criteria of experience on or before 31.01.2017 and on production of experience
certificate(s) issued by the appropriate authority, to this effect.
9. The requisite experience in respect of aforesaid vacant faculty posts is relaxable at the
discretion of Competent Authority by one year for the candidates belonging to SC and ST
categories.
10. Period of probation for all faculty posts is for two years.
11. The post(s) is/are whole time and private practice of any kind is prohibited.
12. The employees of the AIIMS will be governed by the New Pension Scheme as per the
provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB &
PR Division) Notification No. 5/7/2003-ECB&PR dated 22.12.2003.
14. Application Fee:-500/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/OH candidates). Application fee once
remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
15. Separate application(s) should be submitted for separate post(s) alongwith the prescribed
application fee for each post(s).

16. Candidates applying under any of the reserved category posts, viz. SC/ST/OBC/OH,
will be considered subject to submission of Caste Certificate issued by the
appropriate/competent authority on the prescribed format. Community should be
clearly and legibly mentioned in the certificate. OBC candidates eligibility will be based
on the caste(s) borne in the Central List of Government of India. OBC candidate(s)
should not belong to Creamy Layer and their sub-caste should match with the entries in
Central List of OBC, failing which their candidature will not be considered under any of
the applied reserved category post(s).
17. Only such persons would be eligible for reservation under OH quota in service/posts
who suffer from not less than 40 per cent of physical disability. Persons who want to
avail of benefit of reservation would have to submit a Disability Certificate issued by a
competent authority in the prescribed format.
18. The aspiring candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria in all respect should submit their
application through ON-LINE mode only and must read the instructions, help manual
and other details carefully and follow the instructions given therein while making online
submission of their applications. Online registration and submission of application will
be available on AIIMS website www.aiimsexams.orgfrom 11.04.2016 onwards and will
be closed on 20.05.2016 at 5.00 P.M. The Candidates can access the details of prescribed
recruitment rules and other relevant information in respect of above faculty posts on the
website www.aiimsexams.org and www.aiims.edu.
19. The candidate(s) who submits their online application must submit self attested copies of
their certificates including caste certificate in prescribed proforma, degrees, No Objection
Certificate from the present employer (in case of candidates working in
Government/Semi or Quasi Government, Government enterprises or Government
funded autonomous institutions)and other relevant testimonials along-with a printout of
the application submitted online and the covering letter which will appear on screen
after online submission of application, immediately and should reach to the following
address within fifteen days after the closing date of online submission of application(s):-
20. Applications lacking complete information as required in online submission and non-
remittance of requisite application fee as well as failure in submission of copies of
relevant documents after online submission of application within the specified period
willbe rejected without any communication.
21. All the original certificates/documents will be verified at the time of interview. The
short-listed candidate(s) based on their submissions, must bring one print out of one-line
application and all original certificates viz.(i) 10th class, (ii) essential qualifications and
experience(s) (iii) valid caste certificate if applied under SC/ST/OBC/OH category
issued by the appropriate/competent authority (iii) No Objection Certificate (if in regular
employment in any Govt./Semi Govt./ Government Enterprises/Government funded
autonomous Institutions) along witha set of self attested photocopy of the said
document(s)/certificate(s).

22. While every effort will be made to provide residential accommodation to the faculty
appointed at the AIIMS subject to availability but in view of the paucity of the residential
accommodation in the campus, it may not be possible to provide accommodation in
every case. In the event that no accommodation is provided, necessary House Rent
Allowance (H.R.A.) as admissible to the Central Government Servants of similar status
stationed at Delhi/New Delhi will be provided, as per rules.
24. The AIIMS, New Delhi reserves the rights to increase or decrease the number of
vacancies.
