Activity #1: How do we keep our teeth healthy?
- With students still sitting on the rug, ask them to start thinking about ways we keep our teeth healthy
- Draw a large tooth on the poster paper and hang it up for all to see
- Start asking students for their answers and write them on the tooth

Behavior check:
- Students must show me the 5 things
- Only quiet students with their hands up will be chosen to share

Activity #2:
- Have students go back to their tables
- On their table, there will be an envelope with many strips of sentences about brushing teeth.
- The students need to work together and come up with the correct order to brush your teeth
- The table who finishes first can win a goal ticket for each member
- The teacher will read each of the sentences aloud to the class before they can begin

Behavior check:
- Assign roles to the students at each table: one to open the envelope and one to organize the sentences. We
want to be mindful of everyone and dont want all our hands touching the paper sentences.
- Use our indoor voices when talking to our group

Activity #3:
- Encourage students to sit on the blue rug
- Put on the video How to Brush Your Teeth Properly- For Kids https://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=hDZXSMU2lAk
- How long are you supposed to brush your teeth for?
- How many times a day should you brush your teeth?

Behavior check:
- Criss-cross apple sauce on the rug

Closure (3 min.):
- Have students go back to their tables and with a partner, tell them one thing you learned today
- Decide with your partner which one you want to tell me
- Raise hands and quietly let wait for me to pick on them
- Once they tell me what they learned, the students can be dismissed and start getting ready for recess.

** If finished with time left, hand out How to Brush instruction sheet and students can color the images
