For this activity, students will be given a brief introduction on


plants. They will have a classroom lesson on the parts of the
plant and also what exactly a plant needs to thrive. After this
lesson, the teacher will then have their students log on to
computers to do their SMART Notebook Express activities.

In this specific activity, students do various activities in order


to learn about plants and plant life.
1. In the first slide (not the title slide), students are
introduced to basic plant vocabulary such as seed,
sunlight, water, tree, and plant.
2. In the next slide students are asked to drag and drop
vocabulary words in order to identify parts of the
plant.
3. The next slide is a listening activity that has students
click on each square in order to learn about the life
cycle of a plant.
4. Slide 5 is a simple explanation of what a seed is.
5. Slide 6 asks basic questions about plants.
6. Slide 7 has questions students can click on to complete
