Verbo to be Pasado simple negativo

Objetivo: emplear correctamente el verbo TO BE en pasado simple negativo para producir

textos sencillos sobre su entorno.
El verbo To Be no necesita auxiliar para el presente y el pasado simple.
Para formar oraciones negativas se debe colocar el verbo en pasado y la palabra NOT.
(Como no necesita auxiliar, entonces ocupa el lugar de ste).
SUJETO + WAS / WERE NOT + COMPLEMENTO
Verbo TO BE Conjugado en pasado simple

Yo no estaba en el parque.
I was not in the park.
l no era mi amigo.
He was not my friend.
Ellos no estaban en el cine.
They were not in the movies.
La llave no estaba en el llavero.
The key was not in the key chain.
La forma negativa del verbo TO BE en pasado simple negativo
tambin puede usarse con contraccin :

WAS NOT = WASNT

WERE NOT = WERENT

Ejemplo:
Diego no estaba en casa ayer.
Diego was not at home yesterday.
Diego wasnt at home yesterday.

 Verbo to be pasado simple interrogativo

Para hacer preguntas, sencillamente ubicamos el verbo to be al

comienzo de la oracin. Es necesario conjugarlo.
WAS / WERE + Sujeto + Complemento ?
Verbo conjugado en pasado

Era usted mi jefe?

Estuvo Camilo en el parque ayer?

 Recordemos que hay dos formas de responder:

Was she at home all afternoon?

Respuesta larga afirmativa: Yes, she was at home all afternoon.

Respuesta larga negativa: No, she was not at home all afternoon.

Respuesta corta afirmativa: Yes, she was.

Respuesta corta negativa: No, she wasnt.
