Bullying can be implemented in many ways whether its teasing, name calling, or

pushing and shoving, or physically hurting someone. Bullying has become a major problem in

schools. Sometimes teacher or other adult figures dont know when a child is being bullied or

they dont report it, which makes it harder to save a child's life. Just in the United States 1 in 7

children are being bullied or are the bullies. Being bullied can have the child feeling depressed,

very sad, there character changes. These feelings can lead to very serious consequences including

suicide.

Some parents like to have their child homescholed. When it comes to homeschooling it is more

lenient because your parents are the teacher and they establish the rules. There isnt many

regulations within homeschooling which makes it easier for a child to be abused by their parent.

Nobody's watching, no one is going to report it. If a situation like child abuse happen teachers

are to report it. There are many cases of child abuse and neglect in homeschooling. Having more

regulations and requirements for homeschoolers can help the child have a better experiences.

It is important for all school personals to know their students and be able to know when there is

something going on. School employees are usually the ones to catch when a child is being

abused and are able to give them the help they need. Teacher should be able to identify the signs

of any type of child abuse whether its physical, sexual or mental abuse. Abuse on a child affect

their all aspects of their life. Students who are abused tend to either act out in school, or they can

be very quite not socializing, their personality changes and so does their attitude towards things.

The National Child Abuse Prevention Treatment Act is a law that insures funds to that state when

a child is reported on abuse.

Child abuse happens everywhere at anytime. Schools have reported numerous cases of

child abuse. School nurse are to provide full safety attention to all the signs and symptoms of

child abuse. Child abuse is not only physical it is mental, educational, nutritional, or a

combination of all. Physical abuse is the most obvious because marks are shown but can also be

difficult to see if covered. Every type of abuse has there own consequences. For example sexual

abuse can affect a child physically and emotionally. School nurse sometimes choose not to report

cases of child abuse because they think it would be worse on the child. Every state has a different

way of dealing cases of all types of child abuse.

Counselor, vol. 41, no. 1, 1 Sept. 1993, pp. 915.JSTOR, JSTOR.

Parents and children should be education more on child abuse. Schools should enforce an

educational class on child abuse prevention. Both parents and teachers should have the

knowledge on how to deal with child abuse. Many cases of child abuse go unreported. Having a

greater education on child abuse can help one that might be in need. Teachers should be aware of

signs of child abuse. When a student shares there story teachers must follow the school policy on

abuse. This can save the life of a child. Teachers must always be calm and try to make the child

feel better or make them feel safe.

Different types of child abuse have different effects on the child. Abuse can affect the way the

child acts. Some children that experience child abuse, run away from home, they dont show up

to school and if they do they are not in the best behavior. Its not just physical abuse,

cyberbullying affects todays youth more than ever. Having the power of technology has made it

easier for children all ages to experience cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is the easiest way of

abuse because it is done online where youre not looking at the person face to face. Through

cyberbullying the person has a different reaction. It is easier for a bully to send a message or

write a social media post then to confront the person. Usually after the person that is doing the

cyberbullying will be hiding or avoid the person they bullied.
