Week 7
5th November, 2017 8th November, 2017

Sunday, November 5th, 2017

Today, during the first four lesson, I did not do anything except observing students while they
are doing their cat assessment and it was in the boys section. After that, they had a late lunch,
then had Islamic test. Later on, I gave them an activity with math, which is adding pairs of two-
digits or adding two digits with three digits. Then, they wrote their diary and packed up their
bag, since it is home time.

Monday, November 6th, 2017

Today I was not able to teach as my MST was expecting someone from the GEMS to come and
observe her teaching, so I just helped her during the lesson and checked on the students work.
But at last period, I gave them a subtraction board game, after they finished writing their diaries,
instead of sitting on the mat without doing anything.

Tuesday, November 7th, 2017

Today also the GEMS visited the school, so I did not teach. However, I was able to do an
activity with students on the mat at the last lesson, while my MST was doing some work with a
group of the students who did not finish their work. Also, My MST gave me a page in the
maths workbook, where I had an opportunity to explain it to the students.

Wednesday, November 8th, 2017

It was my last day at WIS, I helped my MST with putting the students math evaluation marks in
the grading book. Then, may MST gave me a page where I explained to the students a page in
their workbook, which was about adding and subtracting a single-digit number from a three-digit
numbers. Then the lesson after it, one of my colleagues took one of the lesson to teach since our
MCT was coming to observe her for her final observation, so I could not teach a lesson on that
day since my MST had to cover a lot of work with the students, but I helped her while she was
doing so.

Reflection

I did not do much enough of works during this week, as all of the teachers had a formal

observations which was done by GEMS. And the class had an assessment on Sunday which took

about four hours, on top of that they had an exam after that. Also, on Wednesday GEMS where

at school and my colleague had an observation by our MCT, and she taught my class. However,

I experienced many good things in this school, as well as the teachers and the staff were

supportive. From now on, I hope that I go and practice or work in schools like this with

supportive staff and students.
