VACUUM CLEANER MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Part 1. Methodology
1.1. Introduction
vacuum cleaner is ordinary household machine used for cleaning function. A vacuum cleaner
cleans by creating force or suction. It is working begin while a pump produce a pressure
difference inside the unit causing atmospheric air to be forced up through a tubing system.

1.2. Components, m a t e r i a l s , a n d m a n u f a c t u r i n g p r o c e s s
Actually there are six main components to a standard vacuum cleaner: Intake port which may include
attachments such as a brush, exhaust port, electric motor, fan, container, and housing
The main components can be seen in picture below

An extensive list of parts in the vacuum. Information includes part names, quantities, weights, function of
use, process for manufacturing, and the material the parts are made from.

Part 3 Conclusion
A vacuum cleaner is produced of six main components: Intake port, exhaust port, electric motor, fan,
container, and housing component. Each component manufactured in different methods. But most of
all components made of plastic, especially from ABS, or similarly called Acrylonitrile-butadiene-
styrene plastics. It are used extensively in the molding of vacuum cleaner cases and trim parts. It is
an economical plastic which is lightweight but strong and resists stains and chemicals. ABS plastic
is an enhancement to polystyrene plastic made by adding a small amount of styrene-butadiene
rubber for better high impact resistance and acrylonitrile for hardening to the styrene before it is
polymerized. This allows it to flex under impact while still being rigid enough to keep the required
shape.
ABS made the intake port, exhaust port, container, and housing part. Sometimes fan made of so.
The ABS dominated the material of vacuum cleaner today, it can be seen in picture below.

The ABS will be molded on high-pressure molding procces. Similarly like the picture below.

The common dominate material is steel. It constructs the motor in pump system. The pump will
produce vacuum pressure and inject dust as purpose of vacuum cleaner.
