My Renaissance

At first, I thought business was all about figures, models and analyzing charts. But hardly

did I know that, business requires people who are critical thinkers as the main quality in their

profession. Honestly, this idea caught my attention, and I became inspired and wanted to

discover why. The thought that business is not all about math but depends more on logic and

good reading skills. And this was the beginning of my renaissance journey into critical thinking

and how it applies to business.

My journey into critical thinking starts with the discovering that business is more of a

game and as such, and how deception is the key to good business. but The idea that one has to lie

in order to prosper doesn't sit well with my conscience. But as I read ahead, I was exposed to a

reality which I had ignored, for instance good business is all about winning, and for that to

happen, strategy is key to maximizing profits. All this relies on how fast I can employ my critical

skills to change the odds in my favor.

Critical thinking requires self-perception, as such I learned that in business I must look at

my own ideas for errors in reasoning, and by doing that, I can improve on myself by applying

rational thinking. I discovered that rational thinking involves pointing out my mistakes in my

judgments, it all involves forgetting about my ego or pride. I found this sometimes to be

rather easier said and done. Nonetheless, I had to find a way of overcoming, for most people or

all people if I must assume failing in business is not part of the plan. The key to overcoming

obstacles like failing, lies in examining oneself and not making assumptions or rather uncritically

thinking, which lies in thinking one is incapable of making mistakes.

Momentarily, I became obsessed with the concept of self-examination and what did it

all mean. I later discovered that it all involves not having a false delusion of superiority or God-

complex, which will cause an error in making decisions by misjudging and undervaluing others

while overrating myself. these types of decisions are bad in business and will make it fail very

fast. But critical thinking being all it is, offers a solution. The superior way to conducting both a

strategic and successful business lies in, focusing on the quality of my mind which ensures that

my decisions are error frees as possible.

The physics of critical thinking mostly relies on rational thinking as well as reasonable

problem-solving. When I was first exposed to the idea of critical thinking, I thought it involved

skeptical thinking, which I was not passionate learning about. But I later came to discover it

involves finding opportunities amidst problems.

Critical thinking has opened my mind to the concept of studying my own errors rather

than focusing on those made by others. It all begins with detecting ones own capacity for

rhetoric and dialectic. Additionally, by not paying much attention to mistakes made by another

individual, I have enough time to self-improve. I have also learned that the more sensitive an

issue is, the more it requires rational thinking. Rational blocks distractions paving the way to

objective reasoning. I also discovered that humanity is sometimes hypersensitive when it comes

to criticism which distracts

them from seeing the bigger picture. By knowing factors such as ego and pride underline

how I evaluate my business decisions, I will use them as a source of understanding and strength

rather than being guided by them into weakness, fear, and sometimes anger. Rational is the only

key to overcoming obstacles. Critical thinking all involves knowledge.

what is knowledge? Such are the questions I found asking myself when studying critical

thinking. doing more reading of this course, I discovered that knowledge is the probability of

correct perception of reality. I was even more surprised to recognize that knowledge can, in fact,

be expressed in a mathematical equation.

My rediscovery of what knowledge really is beginning with realizing that for example in

science, there is one supreme-ethic; to always tell the truth, honesty is important since it creates

perception in all matters. Honesty involves producing evidence if one declares they know

something, the evidence functions as a visible form of clarity. Without evidence, honesty is one-

sided since it is without proof. Knowledge is further expressed in three expressions that

sometimes produce the same conclusion on the right side if the probability of knowing

something.

Living in the 21st century, the knowledge of critical thinking is particularly important in

figuring out the truth. The discovery that truth does not bow down and as such critical thinking is

fundamental in recognizing ones ethic to speak it irrespective of the conflicts facing the current

generation. Sensitivity should not slow down or delay the pursuit of knowledge. I have

discovered as a fellow critical thinker, I cannot subject myself to fear from any authority since

truth is the ultimate authority.
