typeofreverbyoumightuseonavocalline.ThiscanworkwellbutI
wouldsetthewetmixtoabouthalfwhereyouwantitonavocal.
Reverbssoundgreatonalotofthingsbuttheyoftenservetodrawan
instrumentintothemixwhileaslapbackwillhelppushitoutofthemix
andintothelistenersroom.

Youcanabsolutelyusethesamesetupforplayinglive.The
mainthingtokeepinmindisyouwillalreadygetaslapbackintheclubyou
areplayingin.Besuretolistencriticallytomakesureyourartificial
slapbackisnotcompetingwiththenaturalslapback.Thiscanresultina
muddysound.Imnotbigonrecommendingparticularpreamps.Justuse
somethingdecent.Ithinkagreatsaxplayerwillsoundjustasgreatthrough
aMackiepreampastheywillthroughanAPI.

everythinguptotheengineer.Nowiamrecordingathomeforthefirsttime
andfinished2albumsandiaminthemiddleofathirdforalabel.Having
