system of medicine, it is treated by cutting off the hardened area on the skin by surgical
means or by applying corrosive chemicals like Salicylic acid with high chance of
recurrence.Modern system of medicine has no answer in it other than surgical removal.
With homoeopathy, a case is treated with internal medicine which removes the warts
and prevent new warts from replacing the old ones.

INTRODUCTION

Wart is a local growth of the outer layer of the skin caused by a virus. The virus
of wart (a papillomavirus) is transmitted by contact. The type is determined by where it
grows on the body and what it looks like.Warts that occur on the hands or top of
the feet are called common warts(also called vurruca vulgaris). A wart on the sole (the
plantar surface) of the foot is a plantar wart (and can be quite painful). Genital
(venereal) warts are located on the genitals and are transmitted by sexual contact; they
are a form of STD (sexually transmitted disease). Warts come in a wide range of shapes
and sizes. A wart may be a bump with a rough surface, or it may be flat and smooth. Warts
are usually painless. But a wart that grows in a spot where you put pressure, such as on a
finger or on the bottom of the foot, can be painful .Tiny blood vessels grow into the core of
the wart to supply it with blood. In both common and plantar warts, these blood vessels
may look like dark dots in the wart's center. In modern system of medicine treatment for
common warts are cryotherapy, Excision Electrosurgery and curettage, bleomycin
injection are given, though there is high chance of recurrence

Discussion
In this case, homoeopathic medicine-Antim Crudum, was selected on the basis of
individualization. Antim crudum is oftenest found indicated in the extremes of life, in
children and old people. Dr KENT points out for Antim Crudum is that all the symptoms
seem to centre about the stomach. No matter what the complaint, the stomach takes
part in it also the key feature of Antim Crudum is that it suited to persons with Desire
for pickles. Dr. HUGHES, in his book Pharmacodynamics, gives a very brief account of
this drug: he quotes Dr. Clotar Muller in regard to its extraordinary efficacy in affections
of the skin: "I have reason to think that Antimonium crudum is an invaluable remedy
where pimples, pustules, pocks or furuncular elevations arise primarily or secondarily
itching of the skin, and after rubbing tenderness and soreness. Antim crudm 200 was
prescribed on the basis of totality, and within 3 months all warts were gone without
leaving any scar. This medicine was successful in the treatment of warts causing
removal/dissolution of the warts and relief of associated complaints of the patient.
Conclusion
The present case brings to light the effectiveness of homoeopathic treatment in warts.
Homoeopathy has a major role in the treatment of warts.
