Personal Statement

I trained in the Montessori method for a number of reasons: First, I like the how the classroom design and the
teaching methodology allows the child to follow their own path and at their own pace. Second, I like the focus on
observation, which I find one of the most enjoyable aspects of teaching, allowing me to really understand and
empathise with the children. Third, I like the focus on arts and crafts and the philosophy of learning through the
senses which fits well with my creative side. The above URL includes photos from my teaching experience.
I am looking for a position that will compliment my existing experience in a warm, creative and clam environment
and I would welcome the opportunity to learn from experienced teachers.
