Title: Read and Summarize a Story, and Create a Book Cover

Subject Area: Reading and Writing Skills

Grade Level(s): 4th grade

Objective:

Day 1:

Day 2:
-Show students the Google Drive class page as a refresher
-Ask students to divide into partners and reread the chapters
with each other
-Tell students to summarize within their partnership what they
have read in the story so far
-Ask students to create a Powtoon in partners that
summarizes the chapters.
-Play a video that explains how to use Powtoon.

Day 3:
-Use thinglink to come up with pros and cons of the book
cover

-Ask students to make their own book cover for Junie B Jones
