INTRODUCTION

It should be approx. 10 sentences, about 1-2 min. Like my name is ..., I live in Turkey. I was
born and grew up there! I have a wife and a kid...

Why did you choose Hungary for PPL training?

Why do you want to be a pilot?
Well, it started very early. When I was an elementary school student, I had a teacher who
was the leader of the airplane modelling club and he gave me and taught me the love of
aviation.

What is your current job? Do you like it?

Can you tell me an interesting aviation story what you know?

Tell me about your first solo flight!

Can you tell me the differences between IFR and VFR.
VFR
VFR stands for visual flight rules, and the term refers to a set of rules created by the FAA for
flight in VMC, or visual meteorological conditions.
When referring to VFR or VMC, VFR is the type of flight operation or type of flight plan
flown by the pilot, and VMC refers to the type of weather conditions.
IFR
IFR and IMC are similar. IFR stands for instrument flight rules the set of rules that govern
aircraft that fly in IMC, or instrument meteorological conditions. In general terms,
instrument flying means flying in the clouds. More specifically, IMC is defined as weather
that is below the minimums prescribed for flight under Visual Flight Rules.
Its called instrument flight because the pilot navigates only by reference to the instruments
in the aircraft cockpit. Flying in the clouds (IMC) requires an IFR flight plan and an
instrument rating.

Can you tell me the differences between controlled and uncontrolled airspace?
In controlled airspace, an air traffic control service is provided. In uncontrolled airspace -
more correctly, all airspace other than controlled airspace - the air traffic service is limited
to advice and/or information to pilots.

Controlled airspace is airspace of defined dimensions within which ATC services are
provided. The level of control varies with different classes of airspace. Controlled airspace
usually imposes higher weather minimums than are applicable in uncontrolled airspace. It is
the opposite of uncontrolled airspace.
Controlled airspace is established mainly for three different reasons:
high-volume air traffic areas, e.g. near airports
IFR traffic under ATC guidance
security, e.g.

Uncontrolled airspace is airspace where an Air Traffic Control (ATC) service is not deemed
necessary or cannot be provided for practical reasons. According to the airspace classes set
by ICAO both class F and class G airspace are uncontrolled. It is the opposite of controlled
airspace.
ATC does not exercise any executive authority in uncontrolled airspace, but may provide
basic information services to aircraft in radio contact. Flight in uncontrolled airspace will
typically be under VFR. Aircraft operating under IFR should not expect separation from
other traffic: however in certain uncontrolled airspace this might be provided on an 'as far
as is practical' advisory basis.

What are the differences between Szeged and Budapest airspace?
See as controlled and uncontrolled airspace.

What are the difficulties about short runway? Think about as a pilot?
Hard landings, loss of control, runway overruns
Speed Control
Configuration and Weight
Directional Control

What is your dream job? What is your dream job in aviation?

What do you think about the future of aviation in Turkey?

Describe two airports what you have seen before? Like Szeged and Budapest, etc
See as controlled and uncontrolled airspace.

AUDIO LISTENING

Just before the audio he asks questions and you have time to write it down. (He gives pen
and paper)

1st: ATIS listening
What is the transition level?
What is the wind?
What is the temperature? Is it VFR (VMC) or IFR (IMC) condition?
What is the altitude?
What is the visibility? 5000meters
Why is taxi way B is closed? Work in progress on taxiway B!
What is the QNH?

2nd: audio listening
The co-pilot needs a medical care and a pilot has a conversation about this situation with
the ATC.

3rd audio listening:
In the summer time an airport is very busy and the controller fall asleep.
An ATC is sleeping while doing his job and a pilot can not get in contact for 30 minutes with
him, he is not answering for the traffic.
Would you fire the ATC or would you send him for further studies (education)? Why?
4th audio listening:
What is the beneficial of child free areas in aircrafts?
Half more legroom

What did the pilot offer to the tower?

5th: audio listening:
Its about plane crash. It was an emergency landing and the pilot had to land on a beach.
What is an emergency landing, why do you have to do and how do you do? What is
important during an emergency landing?
Emergency landing near seaside.
What was the emergency?
How many passengers were on board?
How many people were on the seashore?
What would you do if you were the pilot?

Can you tell me an incident/accident you know from aviation?

6th audio listening:
A helicopter was flying from A to B
Where was the helicopter landing? (I guess it was landing in Little Rock)
What did the helicopter carry? It carried passengers!
Hitchiking
Why the pilot has landed and where? He landed in Little Rock!
He landed to pick up the hitchhiker man!

7th audio listening:
An airplane was flying and something happened on board. What happened?
Pregnant woman was an board and she had a pain in her stomach.
A passenger flight was conducted towards South-China! There was a pregnant woman on
board and no doctor!
Why did the passengers were upset? Because no doctor was on board

8th audio listening:
During a hot summer day a bee/wasp flew inside a tower and an ATC wanted the clean the
tower.
What did he do? What happened?

9th audio listening:
Pilot and co-pilot is speaking and suddenly one them drops his cellphone!
Where is his cellphone? Under the pedals!
What is the call sign?

10th audio listening:
There is a flight from Paris to Buenos Aires!
There is a 30 years old women and she felt herself sick! The pilot requested for medical
doctor! The pilot wanted to divert, but then the lady got better!
What happened with her?
Did they divert or not? Not, because the lady got better!

PICTURE DESCRIPTION

Well, this is a very nice picture.
What I can see is an airport with many details.
In the picture I can see the apron with parking vehicles, airplanes and cars. I also can see the
runway there. I can not see the terminal building, but it should be located on the right side,
somewhere here.
I can see 7 aircrafts.
6 airplanes are parking on the apron and one is located on the runway. The airplane on the
runway is maybe a departing traffic or an arriving traffic.

Top of the picture
I can see the blue sky and clouds. 5-6 octas, so broken clouds.

Middle of the picture
I can see a parking airplane with the MALV paint. Also I can read the Hungarian Airlines
label on the airplane. The nose of the plane is blue and its written Boeing 737. On the tail I
can see the Hungarian flag and the registration mark of the plane. Its HA-LOD.
Under the plane I can see its shadow.
Front of the airplane there are loading cars and vans as well. I dont know whether they
pack the plane out or they load it up.

On the left side of the picture
I can see a red and white bouy. I can see a blue tail of an airplane and a white nose of a van.
(car). Also there is a fuel station and a parking sign. I can see a trolley as well.

Near the sea there is a runway, threshold is higher. A plane was lading. Runway is too short.

Courchevel:
Runway altitude at the French Savoy ski resort of Courchevel ranges from 1941 to 2006m.
Slope reaches 18,5% at the steepest part of the 535 meters long runway.

What are the effects of downslope runway and near to mountains?

Two planes, yellow and white. The fuselages are full with comics. They are over runway and
taxiway.

A big plane. Maybe a Beluga-Airbus. The fornt of the airplane is opened, Two lift vehicle
near the plane and several people. The weather is nice and a few clouds on the sky.
