Introduction

Test is an instrument or systematic procedure for observing and describing one


or more characteristic of a student either a numerical scale or classification
scheme. Test is a tool or instrument used to describe and understand an
attribute. Testing also can be defined as procedures, processes, practises of
using a test.

There are two types of test which is selected response test and constructed
response test. In this project, we required to construct five items restricted-
response test for a subject that chosen by the group.

Restricted response test is one of the type constructed response test. Restricted
response essay is one of the type of essay response question which is poses the
specific problem. Restricted response essay also has page limit or time limit of
each item

Our group chose one subject for this project which is Geography in the
secondary school level. In this project each item is based on the learning
outcome that based on each topic that has been chosen. Our group constructed
that Geography Form 1, Form 2, Form 3, Form 4 and Form 5. Each item that
constructed based on Bloom Taxonomy. Every five items that has been
constructed consist three level of Bloom Taxonomy which are knowledge,
comprehension, and application.
Conclusion

Restricted response test usually limits both the contents and the response by
restricting the scope of the topic to be discussed, generally indicated in the
question. It usually useful for measuring learning outcomes requiring
interpretation and application of data in a specific area.

Any outcomes measure by an objective interpretive exercise can be measure by


a restricted response essay question. The restricted response test question
provides for more ease of assessment, but it restricts the scope of the topic to be
discussed and indicates the nature of the desired response to the student which
limits their opportunity to demonstrate these behaviours on their own

The three level that in every items that has been constructed are knowledge,
comprehension, and application. Knowledge is the identify, write down the
definition, and recall back the notes that has been told by the instructor or
teacher to the students based on the learning outcome of the chosen subject.
Futhermore, comprehension level in the restricted response test is the student
give the reasons, explain, restate and summarize the knowledge. And last but
not least, application level in Bloom Taxonomy that requires in every item in
our project that has been constructed is where the student face the new situation,
put, sketch, applying every theory in the practical way.
