Introduction:
DYNA SM-D Temperature Transmitters are part of LECTROTEK
LTRON-Series Microprocessor based Process Measurement and
Control products. The instruments are innovative in terms of compact
size. and cost-effective, yet full featured in terms of ease of use,
programmability. It has full keyboard based operation for
programming inputs, ranges, decimal point, linear or square-root
input selection and calibration.

The DYNA SM-D accepts Pt-100 RTD, thermocouples, 4-20 mA (linear

or square-root) inputs. The instrument is compact and highly
functional fascia consists of a 4-digit 7-segment LED display and 4-key
membrane keyboard for programming/parameter selection purposes.

The enclosure is a 100 x 75 x 110 mm (W x H x D) sized engineering

plastic enclosure suitable for din rail mounting.

Unpacking, Installation:
Unpack the instrument and check for presence of this Operation
Manual, pair of clamps and physical damage if any. Report to the
dealer for any shortages or warranty service/replacement.
Install the instrument on the rail. Connect power supply as ordered
and marked on the instruments label. wire the instrument preferably
through an external fuse and a 0.5A MCB for protections against
shorts/over current protection. The instrument display comes on when
power on is done. In case of no display condition, check power supply
cord or connection point, In case of further difficulty please contact
dealer.

Common Terminology:
As abbreviations for commonly used instrument terms are referred to
in this manual, a definition of these as used for DYNA SM-D is given
below:
PV: Process Value such as the temperature or process variable under
measurement.
Programming:
As the instrument is a universal type, the default input programmed is
CR-AL..
The instruments can be operated in divided in 3 modes:
Operation Mode - This mode operates the DYNA SM-D
Configuration Mode - Use this mode to re-configure the
instruments input, ranges.
Calibration Mode - Use this mode to calibrate the instruments
inputs/output.
Output calibration Mode-all four outputs can be calibrated for
their values
Accordingly 0/4/20 Ma
