Economic benefits of accurate energy measurements

Traceability and accuracy of oil and gas quantity and quality of measurement is of prime importance. Compliance
to international standards is essential for custody transfer measurement. NMis core competence covers certifica-
tion, calibration and verification of oil and gas flow (i.e. energy) measurement instrumentation. The EuroLoop-fa-
cility is set to become the research and test centre for technologies and products for the measurement of natural
gas and petroleum on an industrial scale.

Traceable calibration by NMi

To ensure the lowest possible measurement uncertainty, all NMi calibrations are traceable to the primary standards
meter, kilogram and second. It is important to assure confidence in the measurement of your instrument. There-
fore, NMi performs only calibrations under RvA accreditation (ISO/IEC 17025) and according to operational condi-
tions. With that in mind, we offer the possibility of calibration to a wide range of pressures and large gas flows, or
different viscosity ranges and large liquid flow rates.
