Adisucipto Air Force Base complex. Its only about 200

Dirgantara Mandala Museum occupies five
hectares, with a building area of about 7,600 m2. Here
we can see collections of historical objects, relics of the
Air Force heroes, diorama, miniature planes, planes
from Western countries and from the Eastern Bloc,
firearms, weapons, aircraft engines, radars, bombs,
rockets and sculptured figures of the Air Force.
The building is divided into six sectors, namely
the Main Room, Room Chronology I and II, Weapon
Systems, Paskhas, Diorama, and Air and Space Interests
rooms, in the Main Room, we can see photos of former
Air Force military leaders and symbols and mottos of
the Air Force corps. In Room Chronology I and II, we
can enjoy historical dioramas and important

Ahmad Yani was born in Jenar, Purworejo,
Central Java on 19th June 1922. His family, a
Wongsoredjo family, worked at a sugar factory.
In 1927, Yani and his family moved to Batavia.
Yani progressed through primary and secondary

undergo compulsory military service in the army of the
Dutch East Indies colonial government. He studied
military topography in Malang, East Java.

Magelang. On completion of training, Yani enlisted for

kidnapped, killed and his body was hidden in a disused
well in Lubang Buaya.Yanis body was found on 4th
