The installation of the products made with fiber cement
must be performed by technical personnel that
complies with the procedures stated in this manual.
Improper manipulation may be harmful for your health.
If it is required to transform or cut fiber cement
products, please do it in an open and well ventilated
area.
Moisture in advance the areas to prevent the release of
powder.
For all cutting procedure it is mandatory the use of
protection googles.
When cleaning the areas of product's cutting or
transformation please use vacuuming methods, if it
necessary to sweep please moisture the area to prevent
the dissemination of powder.
Height works regulations must be complied with.
For walking on fibercement sheets, three wood tiles
supported by belts must be placed. Please do not walk
over wet fiber cement covers. Wood tiles' width must be
supported by at least two ridges of the tile.
While cutting or drilling, personal protection elements
must be worn as approved by the Ministry of Social
Protection or who acts as such. If those elements of
personal protection, as approved by the Ministry, are
missing, it must be guaranteed that they at least have a
retention rate equal or superior to 99.97% for particles of
0,3 micrometers of diameter, and that they have the
approval label NIOSH/MSHA N, R or P 100 or equivalent.
Try to avoid generating powder when cutting and
transforming fiber cement products. Inhaling particles
generated by high concentration of powder during a
long time may lead to respiratory illnesses.
