Drive and Folder sharing in a Homegroup (Windows 7)

1. Create a Homegroup from any computer in your network.

2. From other computer, join the homegroup and use the password generated in step1

Necessary sharing option settings:

a) Turn on network discovery

b) Turn on file and printer sharing

c) Turn on public folder sharing (optional)

d) Turn Off password proctected sharing

e) Allow windows to manage homegroup connections

Notes:

a) If the Home Group originator PC is removed from network, all other PCs must leave the
existing homegroup first before a new homegroup can be generated again from any PC in
the network.

b) If Homegroup password is changed, all others PCs must be updated with the new
password.
