Modeling Personal Wellness

Welcome to our online forum, everyone! I cant wait to read about all of your voices as you all
have such unique backgrounds. To ensure that everyone feels comfortable in our new learning
environment, I will assign groups of 4-9 in which peer collaboration and design will take place in.
My role will be to facilitate an authentic experience for everyone.

Directions:
Within your assigned discussion group members, collaborate via the discussion forum to identify
major risk factors contributing to environmental health, including risk factors/obstacles in
geographical, physical, mental/psychological, and social health. Identify strategies listed within
the text to combat these obstacles from a micro to macro scale. You are expected to submit this
at the end of Lesson 2.

Your group will solve simple problems and compare experiences via owning a hypothetical
company named ____ (or you may choose a current company you are working at now if you
wish). Currently, this company does not promote health and wellness as the backbone to
successful employees and products. Together, develop an informal business plan modeling
personal and professional wellness opportunities in your company. Include how each of you
would become the Change Agent at your workplace and an advocate of promoting a healthy
change. Provide examples within your comprehensive health data assessment that personally
affect your company and explain how you would strategically combat these environmental
factors to promote a healthier environment for its inhabitants.

Lastly, each individual member will submit the same business plan. All discussions will take
place in the discussion forum until the final product is completed. A portion of your grade will
depend on the contribution you made to your groups discussion board. To give each member a
grade on BB, each member will need to submit as an individual.

Embed your business plan into your healthy leadership section of your personal E-Portfolio,
which you will build in 1:3 Assignment.

Your business plan must include:

-APA 6.0 formatting
-Title Page
-Reference Page with two credible sources (this reading plus one outside source) in APA 6.0
format
-Running Header and Page numbers formatted per APA 6.0
-500 700 words
-Word Document.DOC
