Instruction Manual for LEGO 75144 Snowspeeder

I. Audience Related Factor

1. The graphics used on the manual is easy to understand because it has colored images for the
step by step processes of assembling the LEGO 75144 Snowspeeder is included, and font size and
color the color schemes of the fonts and manual are very pleasing to the eyes of the reader. The
designers and writers of the manual probably decided to use such color schemes to be able to
create the theme of where the product is bases, which is the Movie Franchise: Star Wars. They
also decided to show the step by step processes through graphic images because their target
audience are mainly children.
2. Before the processes on how to assemble the LEGO 75144 Snowspeeder are showed in the
manual, several information about the product have been included in the manual. They put the
product specifications, picture of the finished product, and they also included the thoughts of
the designers and directors of the product in the meet the person part of the manual. The write
of the manual probably decided to do this because the target audience are children and they will
like the idea to read those parts.
3. The instruction manual is printed in seven languages including English (the others are: DE, ES, FR,
HU, PT, and ZH). The writers and designers probably have enough budget for their product to be
sold in each different country.

II. PURPOSE-RELATED

After the target audience have finished reading the manual, the writer of the manual wants to
give the readers the knowledge on how to assemble the LEGO 75144 Snowspeeder and the fun of
reading the thoughts of the graphic designer, art designer, and the director about the product they
are assembling.

III. DOCUMENT-RELATED

The information included in the documents that would be made using the manual can have a lot
of information as the manual is very detailed. The writer of the manual probably designed the
manual to very informative and active in engaging the likes of the target audience through the easy
step by step images and interviews from the designers. The manual for LEGO 75144 Snowspeeder
dictates the type of document can be written for the product, it dictates that only informative
documents can be written from the manual like blogs and reports. This means that it will require a
technical writing style
