Problem Statement:

HHRD in 2015 was concerned about the progress of its Rehabilitation center and institute in
mansera, the about their millions of dollars donations for that facility. In the start of 2015
HHRD wanted to sustain this institution by decreasing its administration cost which was done
by firing experienced therapists and by replacing with fresh or less experienced therapists. The
experienced therapists where hired because of their vast knowledge and expertise so they even
didnt needed any intensive training program so the institute never focused on creating a
training program for the fresh or less experienced therapists that they hired as replacements.
At the start of making this institute the management did not have any experience in the
physiotherapy field that was also a reason why they hired such experienced therapists. Another
reason for firing experienced therapists was that they were very demanding and seemed lazy as
compared to younger motivated employees. The experienced therapists always complained
that mansera was a remote area and they should be given proper compensation for shifting
from major cities. They also said that they are not been given proper health insurance and felt
demotivated at all times. The therapists also worked part time as teachers in the institutes to
this also affected their duties as therapists as they were only available for 4 hours a day for
therapies and for the rest of 4 hours they taught students at the institute. The replaced
therapists were also demotivated as they did not receive and proper training and their work
hours were not flexible, some of them even had to teach as well, the teaching allowance was
not satisfactory as well. The salaries of experienced therapists was three times as much as of
fresh or less experienced so it did lower their administration cost but the patients trend started
to decrease as they were not satisfied by the treatments. The patients also complaint about the
checkup hours that they only have 4 hours a day for checkup while the other clinics had 12
hours checkup facility per day but the services where not as good as HHRD was providing them
for free or nominal fee. The location of the institute was also a problem as mansera is in the
north of Pakistan and in winters they also experience snow fall which can be a problem because
patients have more pain during winters season and they resist to travel from far areas to
mansera for checkups therefore in the peak season of physiotherapy the patient trend
decreases instead of increasing.
