This report has written as a requirement to complete a mini project for communicative
English 3 (AE501) course. The objectives of this project are to investigation about the usage
of hand phone among PSP students and provide recommendations to overcome abuse among
students smart phone at Seberang Perai Polytechnic. This report was requested by Mrs. Wan
Afra Binti Ibrahim, English Lecturer of Communicative English3, on 26 July 2013.
Data for this report were gathered from week 3 until week 9 in July until August 2013. A
questionnaire survey was carried out from week 6 until week 7. A survey was conducted on a
total of 50 students from the senior and junior level student. The main findings were that by
the groups member. Suraya Binti Mohd Salleh, Nurul Nadhirah Binti Kamarudin, Siti
Arrohma Binti Mustofa,and Nurasykin Ain Hikmahana Binti A.Rahman.

The conclusion is that the most of the students PSP use Samsung Smartphones brand and not
to other brands.
The Blackberry is the least used. Many students choose Samsung Smart phones brand
because it is easy to use and manage then other brands.
Samsung Smart phones brand shall have the many attractive designs.
The price of Samsung Smart phones brand is also reasonable compared to other brands.
The Samsung Smart phones are able to attract many users as shall have the exciting
applications and many games.
The Samsung Smart phones brand also helping students to finding information and also can
use as a GPS.
Most PSP students prefer to choose a Samsung Smartphone that is more interesting and easy
to use and that is why the majority supports Samsung Smart phones brand.

RECOMMENDATIONS /SUGGESTIONS
The PSP students are encouraged to buy a Smart phone that is easy to use and affordable
price in accordance with student status.
Simply just wear regular phone if you cannot buy and have a smart phone. No need to have a
smart phone if it is just a burden but if students are able to have a smart phone, you are
recommended to buy a Smart phone that has an application that can help in learning and daily
work as a student.
We also want recommend to all PSP students to buy Samsung smart phone because this smart
phone has an easy application to use and the price for this smart phone is cheap and
affordable.
