Abstract: one of things most important to take into account when one is talking about
translation according to Atkinson (1987) who suggests that activities that involve some
translation promote guessing strategies amongst students and helps reduce the word-for-
word translation that often occurs and which results in inappropriate L2 use. Currently this
evolution is not so simple, since through history has existed a lot of forms to translate a text
from a language to another one. Along the time or history some writers have given their own
point of view which is focused in order to promote guessing strategies between students what
to seem to be a good way give a correct meaning not so literal.
The translation is something so simply but to the same time is something so complicated,
since the words of a second language are different to native language, for this reason when
we are going to be a part on this program is vital to understand a lot of things about that
language we want to study. Nowadays is easier to achieve the target related with translation
due to technology is a tool very helpful to develop this process, despite of different opinions
done by some authors who has dedicated a large part of their time to investigate everything
about this technique of communication. By the way I would to share you some information
may be very meaningful on this written and which could help us to understand it in a clearer
way. Adaptation, also called cultural substitution or cultural equivalent, is a cultural element
which replaces the original text with one that is better suited to the culture of the target
language. This achieves a more familiar and comprehensive text.
It is completely clear that a better translation is essential in any field of study, since it helps
to adapt one written to another one in order to be understood in our native language and so
can develop some good strategies of study within anything learning process that requires one
translation.
