EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
This workshop is designed for plastic surgeons,
neurosurgeons, maxillofacial surgeons, otolaryngologists,
oral surgeons and surgeons of related disciplines. By
completing this workshop the participant will:
• enhance their skills in a variety of craniofacial
techniques
• enhance their skills in transfacial approach
• gain an excellent understanding of the complicated
procedures in craniofacial and
transfacial surgery
• explore current concepts in craniofacial surgery
• participate in hands-on sessions with advanced
pneumatic instrumentation
• be able to utilize instrumentation skills in bone
dissection work
• be able to use plating systems for fixation
The objectives will be met in part by performing the
procedures on specially prepared cadavers. The cadavers
used are extremely flexible and “life-like”.
