Customer
New since the Upgrade to Release 1702
Starting with the upgrade to release 1702, we are going to have a process change
during the test upgrade window:
Additional Emergency Patch (EP) Deployment (Tue, Thu) during the 2 week after test
upgrade in the test tenant
Customers can verify EP prior to the productive upgrade
The test tenant will be frozen* after the EP deployment on Thursday prior to productive
upgrade
Productive tenant will be upgraded to same state as the customer test tenant
Important Update: All previously requested restore points can still be used for a restore after the productive upgrade.
Business Configuration is possible at any time in both test and productive tenant
but without data transfer between the tenants.
Incidents will no longer be closed as part of the upgrade process.
Important: No merge back for Change Projects possible while test tenants are upgraded and production tenants are not
Existing Tenants
To get an overview of your existing tenants, please open you Service Control Center and click on the Active
Tenants link.
If you have utilized all purchased test tenants and need to request a new test tenant, you have the following
two options:
- Request the termination of an existing test tenant before requesting a new test tenant
- Purchase an additional test tenant. Once the order is processed by SAP, you will be able to request a new
test tenant
