AccessWB
AccessWB allows you to remotely access your office computer or a
virtual Bank desktop. Use the following setup instructions to log in to
AccessWB on your Mac computer or laptop. From AccessWB you can
connect to your Bank office computer or connect to the VDI
virtual desktop.
AccessWB Requirements
SecurID token device
Remote Access account
Mac OSX 10.7 or higher
Warning: Mac OSX 10.6 and lower cannot install the latest version of Java
and therefore AccessWB will not work.

Set up AccessWB
Install Latest Version of Java
1. Open Safari and type http://java.com.
2. Click on

4. After the installation is downloaded,


open the installation file and
double-click the icon to install.
5. Follow the prompts to install Java. You may need to provide
the Administrator password of your Mac Operating System
during installation.
6. Open System Preferences and select Java at the bottom.

7. Go to the Advanced tab and scroll to the bottom. Ensure that
all TLS options are checked and click Apply.

Log into AccessWB


1. In your Internet browser address bar (Firefox or Safari), type:
https://access.worldbank.org/mac and press the Enter key.
2. The Log-in screen will display.

3. In the UserID box, enter your UPI (without WB).


4. In the Passcode box, enter your PIN and your six-digit SecurID
hard token code or the Passcode from your soft token.
5. Click on Sign In.
6. Several prompts will appear on your screen. If the following
prompt appears for dcSetupApplet, check Always trust
content from this publisher and click Run.

7. If you are presented with an installation prompt for Network
Connect, select Always. (You may be prompted for your
Administrator password before you can complete setup.)

8. The AccessWB home page will appear.

9. The Network Connect window will launch. Do not close this


window as it is required to be open for the duration of the session.

Connect to Your Office Computer
Use the following setup instructions to access your office computer.
Recommended for users with a dedicated office computer.
Requires installation and configuration of Remote Desktop Con-
nection (see steps below).
You must be logged into AccessWB before you can launch the
separate Remote Desktop Client.
If you do not have a computer to connect to in your Bank office,
skip to Connect to VDI Virtual Bank PC.

Step 1Determine your Computer Name


1. Log on to your office computer.
2. Right-click on the Computer
icon on the desktop and
select Properties.
3. Take note of your computer name which is the property
number your office computer. You will need it to connect to your
office computer remotely.

4. Prior to leaving the office, click End of Day Restart. Do not


turn off your computer.

Step 2Install Remote Desktop Connection


If Microsofts Remote Desktop Connection is already installed
(you can verify this by going to Applications), skip to Step 3Con-
figuring Remote Desktop Connection.
1. Open the Safari internet browser.

2. In your browser address window, type:
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads and select
Remote Desktop from the menu on the left.
3. Select Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Client for
Mac 2.1.1.
4. Select Download on the right side.

5. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.


Warning: Mac OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion) has a new feature called Gate-
keeper. Follow these steps to allow the installation of Remote
Desktop Connection.
6. Go to System Preferences and select Security & Privacy.

7. On the General tab, click the Lock at the bottom left to allow
changes. You may need to provide the Administrator pass-
word during installation.
8. Select Anywhere from the Allow applications downloaded
from section.

9. Now you will be able to install the Remote Desktop Connection


software.

Step 3Configure Remote Desktop Connection
1. Return to the AccessWB window tab.
2. Launch the Remote Desktop Client
application (found in the Dock or
under Applications).
3. In the computer field, enter the computer name you took note
of in step 3 of the first section.

4. Click RDC at the top left of the screen and select Preferences.

5. Select the Login tab and enter your computer login user-
name (wb+UPI) in the User Name field. Leave Password field
blank.
6. In the Domain field, enter wb or eg depending on your unit.

7. Select the Display tab and choose Full Screen under Remote
Desktop size and Thousands under Colors.

8. Select the Drives tab and select All disk drives.

9. Close the window and return to the Remote Desktop Connection
window.

Step 4Launch Remote Desktop Connection


1. The Network Connect window must be open for Remote Desk-
top to work.
2. Click Connect.

3. Enter your computer login


password in the Password
field.

4. If the message below appears, check Dont show this mes-


sage again and click OK.

5. You will now see the welcome screen of your office computer.
Click OK. You will now see your desktop.

Step 5Logging Off


1. Click the Start menu .
2. Click Log off then Disconnect
3. When prompted, click the
Save button to ensure that
you will not have to
reconfigure settings again.

To log off Access WB


4. Click Sign Out at the top right of the AccessWB screen.

Connect to VDI Virtual Bank PC
Use these setup and logon instructions to connect to the VDI Virtual
Desktop, which allows you to access Lotus Notes, Network
Drives, SAP, Bank Network printers, and other bank resources.

Step 1Download/Install Citrix Receiver


1. Open a new tab in your browser.
2. In your browser address window, type: http://receiver.citrix.com
and select Download Receiver for Mac.

3. Double click on Citrix Receiver Install.pkg.

4. Follow the prompts to install Java. You may need to provide the
Administrator password during installation.

Step 2Setup Applications and Networks

3. In the Welcome window, enter the same Username and Pass-


word that you type to login to your office computer.

5. You will see the Citrix


Starting application message.

6. The VDI Important


Notice may appear. Click OK.

7. After your User Profile loads, you will see the VDI
Desktop. This may take several minutes.

Step 3Accessing and Copying Files between VDI and
the Local Mac

2. If you get the following message, check Dont ask me again


and click Read & Write.

3. In the explorer window, a list of the available drives is shown.


Files from any of the Macs drives (Located under the "Other"
section) can be copied to any of the mapped network drives.

Step 4Logging Off


1. To log out of VDI, in the sessions window, click the Start button,
and then Log Off.

2. To log out of Access WB, click Sign Out.
