Wastes resulting from the use of this product may be disposed of on site or at an
approved waste disposal facility.

Land Spill or Leaks Dike area to prevent runoff. Do not allow material to enter streams, sewers, or
other waterways. Isolate area and keep unauthorized people away. Contain and
collect spillage with non-combustible absorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth,
diatomaceus earth, vermiculite) and place in container for disposal according to
local / national regulations (see section 13). Decontaminate tools and equipment

following cleanup. Collect washings for disposal. Place in an approved chemical

waste container for disposal. Dispose of as a hazardous waste.

SECTION 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling Procedures Use proper protective equipment to minimize personal exposure (see Section 8).

Storing Procedures Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal.

Keep out of reach of children and domestic animals. Store in original container in
a secured, dry storage area.

Work/Hygienic Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Avoid
Procedures breathing spray mist.

Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating,
drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet.

Remove clothing immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and
put on clean clothing.

Remove Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) immediately after handling this

product. Wash clothing and personal protective equipment (including both the
inside and outside of gloves) before each day or reuse according to
manufacturer's directions. Shower and change into street clothes before leaving
the work site.

SECTION 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION

Engineering Controls Maintain exposure levels below the exposure limit through the use of general
and local exhaust ventilation.

When handlers used closed systems, enclosed cabs, or aircraft in a manner that
meets the requirements listed in the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) for
agricultural pesticides [(40 CFR 170.240(d) (4-6)], the handler PPE requirements
may be reduced or modified as specified in the WPS.

Eye/Face Protection Chemical resistant goggles must be worn.

Hand Protection Chemical-resistant gloves made of waterproof material such as neoprene, butyl
rubber, barrier laminate or nitrile rubber.

Body Protection Wear long-sleeved shirt and long pants and shoes plus socks.

Respiratory Protection When respirators are required, select NIOSH/MSHA approved equipment based
on actual or potential airborne concentrations and in accordance with the
appropriate regulatory standards and/or Industry recommendations.

General Protection These recommendations provide general guidance for handling this product.
Because specific work environments and material handling practices vary, safety
procedures should be developed for each intended application. While developing
safe handling procedures, do not overlook the need to clean equipment and
piping systems for maintenance and repairs. Waste resulting from these
procedures should be handled in accordance with Section 13: Disposal

Considerations.

Do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons,
either directly or through drift. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after
handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the
toilet.

Educate and train employees in safe use of the product. Eye wash facility and
safety shower should be available. In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or
skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated
clothing and shoes.

Follow all label instructions. Follow manufacturer's instructions for

cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables, use detergent
and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry.

SECTION 11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

Only acute toxicity studies have been performed on this product as formulated. The non-acute information
pertains to the active ingredient, pyrimethanil technical.

Acute Oral Toxicity Male Rat: LD50: > 5,000 mg/kg

Female Rat: LD50: 4,505 mg/kg

Acute Dermal Toxicity Male/Female Rat: LD50: > 5,000 mg/kg

Acute Inhalation Toxicity Male/Female Rat: LC50: 4-hr exposure to liquid aerosol: > 4.41 mg/l
(actual)
No deaths were observed. Maximum attainable vapor concentration.

Male/Female Rat: 1-hr exposure to liquid aerosol (extrapolated from 4-hr LC50):
> 17.64 mg/l
(actual)

Skin Irritation Rabbit: No skin irritation

Eye Irritation Rabbit: Minimal irritant.

Sensitization Guinea pig: non-sensitizing

Subchronic Toxicity In subacute and subchronic studies in mice, rats, and dogs, the major organs
affected from short-term exposure to pyrimethanil included the liver, kidney,
adrenal, urinary bladder and/or thyroid (secondary effect).

Chronic Toxicity The major organs affected from long-term exposure to pyrimethanil in studies in
mice, rats and dogs included the liver, urinary bladder and/or thyroid (secondary
effect).

Assessment Carcinogenicity
Pyrimethanil was not carcinogenic in a chronic feeding study in mice. In a chronic feeding study, high-dose
rats had increased incidence of benign thyroid tumors, secondary to disruption of thyroid-pituitary
homeostasis. EPA classified pyrimethanil as a Group C (possible human carcinogen) chemical based on
this well-known, threshold-mediated, non-genotoxic mechanism of carcinogenesis. The Agency used a
non-linear methodology approach for determining the Margin of Exposure (MOE) for the estimation of
human cancer risk because doses below this threshold did not result in thyroid tumors. Therefore, EPA
has a reasonable certainty that no harm will result from exposure to residues of pyrimethanil.

Reproductive & REPRODUCTION: There were no reproductive effects observed in a two-

Developmental Toxicity generation study in rats treated with pyrimethanil.

DEVELOPMENTAL TOXICITY: Pyrimethanil is not a primary developmental

toxicant based on developmental toxicity studies in rats and rabbits. Any
developmental effects observed were secondary to maternal toxicity.

Neurotoxicity Pyrimethanil was not neurotoxic in acute (oral gavage) and subchronic (diet)
neurotoxicity screening studies in rats. Transient neurobehavioral effects were
observed in the acute study with no correlating morphological changes in the
neural tissues.

Mutagenicity Pyrimethanil is not mutagenic or genotoxic based on in vitro and in vivo

mutagenicity studies.
