Climate change

Climate change is defined as changes in the earth's weather, including changes in

temperature, wind patterns and rainfall, especially the increase in the temperature of the
earth's atmosphere that is caused by the increase of particular gases, especially carbon
dioxide . Throughout history, students have been the driving force in social change. Now
more than ever is the time for students across the country to become global warming
activists and join the movement.Participation of educational facilities lies at the heart of
addressing these issues so that continued data collection and assessment can be utilized to
increase the quality of climate models, and thus, the reliability of their forecasts. Schools can
undertake a number of activities to address the issues associated with climate change.

Education is vitally important for several, key reasons. It can deliver the scientific facts about
the biggest issue facing young people, something that is being felt by millions worldwide. It
equips youth with the skills to help combat climate change, and be part of a green
recovering, and positive future. It also encourages young people to be involved as global
citizens, and involves and engages them in an issue thats impacts will be felt most keenly
by those now going through the education system.Climate science is difficult to explain and
its many inputs make it complex to model. However, a number of curricula should be
designed for students in school to develop basic science awareness and increase critical
thinking skills, focusing on environmental science and climate change.Incorporating these
concepts into lesson plans will prepare students to address global warming issues in their
daily lives, and serve as a stepping stone for those wishing to pursue a career in climate
research. We have a responsibility to educate, not only bound by international convention,
but by moral and ethical duties. Schools must educate young people about the world around
them, so that they are informed with facts and key issues.

Faculty, staff and the student body can develop an action plan to integrate energy efficiency,
renewable energy use, waste reduction, school gardens and transportation programs into
the climate curriculum. These projects can be used to mitigate the facility's greenhouse gas
emissions and result in the need for continued recalculation of the school's impact on global
warming, allowing the curriculum to function beyond the initial investigative effort.Around the
world, a growing number of educators recognize the unique perspectives of students and the
importance of including student voice in both educational policy and practice. This course is
designed to help educators understand the value of cultivating and engaging student voice
both inside and outside the classroom. Formation of good citizen will attribute to more voices
leading to an increase in cencitization.Course material draws on the experiences of
educators who have incorporated student voice in their teaching practice and designed
experiences and projects that empower students to have an equal say in the decision-
making processes that shape their education. Student may be encouraged to hold out
conferences to local people, inducing them to contribute towards a sustainable future.
Many schools serve as a central hub of activity in the community and can play a role in
encouraging political and business leaders to institute policies that will save energy, develop
alternative energy sources and protect natural areas. Leading by example, sharing
successes and encouraging local businesses to allow students to assess their facilities will
broaden the benefits of a climate curriculum beyond the classroom. To promote a
sustainable future more courses should be availabale for the whole nation. In other words an
international online courses about Education on Environmental issues should be displayed
to the population. The amount of money generated from the courses online will be used to
fund ecologial projects.Raising the awareness will cause people mainly youngsters to step
foward to slow down global warming. So as to encourage Participation in these sustainable
projects each citizen should be provided with incentives by the government.

New jobs

this is especially relevant with the need for innovation and sustainable development.
Currently the green economy is nascent, its burgeoning growth providing employment and a
viable alternative to resource hungry industries and economic models.

But positive growth needs new generations who both understand the need for alternative
development and have the passion and desire to act.

Education has a key role in showing young people that not only do they have wider
responsibilities, but also that they are entitled to involvement in decisions.

Climate change and sustainability are issues that cut across generations, and the decisions
that are made today will have impact not upon the generation that makes them, but
generations to come.

Education can help give young people the tools to take part in these decisions, allowing
them to enter into the debate.
