Research Proposal for Senior Project

Review of Literature

Articles found are linked to the topic and purpose of the paper. The articles provide

information, research, and explanation of what the career of a Criminal Prosecutor entails.

Articles such as, The Role of the Prosecutor, Prosecutor Job Description, and Prosecution

Function, will be used to determine the role of a Criminal Prosecutor and the working

conditions a Criminal Prosecutor will be faced with. Articles used in the research will help the

reader find information needed to understand the process and schooling required to become

a Criminal Prosecutor.

There will be subtopics used in the research paper to help organize specific focuses

and topics. The following are subtopics that will be used in the research paper; undergraduate

degree, graduate degree, role of a Criminal Prosecutor, expected working conditions, and

case study. The subtopics help narrow down the topic of the paper. Both undergraduate and

graduate are topics that inform the reader the schooling and classes needed to take to obtain

the degree of Criminal Law. Role of a Criminal Prosecutor and expected working conditions

provide insight of the life a criminal prosecutor and what is expected. The role of the

prosecutor at trial is to represent the government and prove the defendant is guilty of the

crime charged.(Read, 2009) The previous quote answers the question of, What is the role of

a criminal prosecutor?

Scheduled Tasks

Tasks performed to achieve the purpose of the senior research project are to gather

and research information, organize information found in a binder, and take time and complete
work fully. The organization of the paper is divided into the main topic and subtopics to help

keep organization of the main idea and other topics to link to the main idea. The main topic of

the research paper is the Career of a Criminal Prosecutor. Subtopics being used are:

undergraduate, graduate, role of a Criminal Prosecutor, expected working conditions, and

case study. A binder will be used to store information, cited sources, and organization of the

research. This paper will be typed and have a table of contents to make it easier to find

specific information. There will be twelve sources used in the research and will contribute to

the subtopics.

Key Terms

Phrases and words such as: Criminal Prosecutor, undergraduate, graduate,

investigative, internships, sentencing, juries and judges, and verdict, will be used in the

research paper. The previous terms were used to find sources of information for the topic of

the paper. Each term will be used and discussed to provide the reader with advanced

knowledge of the topic.
