TAELLI DESIGN WORKS

I am a 26 year old designer/engineer symbiosis with a big interest in machinery

with soul. I like to consider myself more of a creative thinker than a plain
computing machine. I love to create aestethical things with meaning.
I have finished my Masters degree in the field of design thinking, am partially
self-taught and always looking for new challenges. I speak English, Estonian and
a bit German.

What I consider my biggest inspirator and a guide in the world of design and
making things happen is this simple graph:

AIRESC - AUTOMOTIVE SAFETY OF THE FUTURE
Airesc is a device used in future passenger
cars to help people escape the vehicle when
an accident, including a body of water, has
occurred. The system is designed to be fully
functional even after the passenger car has
submerged under the water level. Airesc is
fully functional also on dry ground and can
be used to quickly exit the vehicle when
standard exiting options are blocked.
Pyrotechnical
gas generator The need for having such an escape device
comes from the new safety regulations that
require future cars to confirm with Occu-
Trigger belt pant Ejection Migration safety standards. To
keep the occupants from not ejecting the
Air bag Polycarbonate structure
passenger car in a rollover or a side-impact
collision, larger side-curtain airbags and
laminated glazing is going to be installed in
new vehicles. The result of these changes
is that while having a positive aspect during
the collision they make the exiting proce-
dure from a crashed car a lot harder than it
used to be. Airesc escape system takes into
account the new and existing ideas in the
automotive passive safety field and combines
them into one holistic life saving device to
help you combat the life threatening situa-
tions no one is ever prepared for.

POTATEQUE - POTATO SILO-SHOP
Potateque - a mobile cargo vegetable shop -
is a result of a design research project for
finding new and attractive ways for food
retailing.
Our objective was to propose a new way of
retail for food with emphasis on fruits or
vegetables. In our case we chose to have
potatoes as the main sales article due to the
fact that potato consumption in Estonia is
unbelievably high. We combined the avail-
able technology and the possibilities of a
mobile shop/market place. The result gives
us an agile and optimisable selling point that
can be focused on obtaining the best sales
performance through the possibility of
changing its location in a short period of
time.
In addition more soft values were consid-
ered like informing the customers about the
overall food production situation of the
world, what exactly is healthy food and - in
our example - how does consuming local
potatoes help nearby farmers.
Our final proposal is an attractive, playful
and smart silo-shop.

HIP RELIEF - Self hip traction for people on-the-go
Hip Relief was the result of one of the
user-centered research project I was part of.
The aim was to create a portable solution for
people who would like to practice relieving
excercises against osteoarthritis. The devel-
opment process required deeper under-
standing of the problem, getting insights
from the people and creating a prototype.

For over 100 years, health care practitioners

have performed manual traction to the
hip joint as part of their routine diagnostics
and treatment for conditions resulting in
decreased mobility of the joint capsule. It is
an accepted form of manual therapy by all
physical therapists, chiropractors, and medi-
cal/osteopathic physicians. Our solution
offers a product, which will replace the
frequent visits to the therapist. It will offer
relief from the pain by performing a traction
in the hip joint where ever you are. The
product will engage the person into keeping
track of their exercises and other methods
helping to relieve the pain.

VECTOR GRAPHICS DESIGN
Having interest in vector art, I combined my
little hobby into a small business by design-

GRAPHIC & UX DESIGN
I have also participated in some graphic design & UX design projects. Most
of the projects have been connected either with voluntary work or con-
nected with study programmes. Unfortunately it is not possible for me to
present all of my creations due to companies data protection legislations.
