    "Present" and "simple" are misleading terms for Italian students.

    The Present Simple Tense is NOT


    about the present moment, but about GENERAL TRUTH, things that are true in general, habits and
    things that predictably repeat every given amount of time (such as timetables).

    "Presente" e "semplice" sono termini fuorvianti per gli studenti italiani. Il tempo presente semplice
    NON riguarda il momento presente, l'adesso, ma VERITA' GENERICHE, cose che sono
    generalmente vere, abitudini e cose che si ripetono in modo prevedibile ad intervalli regolari (orari
    come quelli dell'autobus eccetera).
