Lesson Plan for Whole Class Teaching

I will teach the opening part of the lesson and My MST will teach
the guided and the closing parts.

1. Pictures related to each other. Like, cow Me and my MST will make sure that the five centers of
activities are ready for children. Such as, materials, clean

Opening (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)


Whole

1. First, I will open patterns song for grade one students, in this song they give the patterns
incomplete then they ask the students what comes next. I think this song will let the
students think, remember and understand patterns meaning.
2. Then, I will give each group small envelop contain two or three pictures linking to each
other like, flower, bee and honey. Dependence to the groups level I will give the medium
level two different pictures and the high level three different pictures.
3. After that, I will explain to them what they should do:
I will give each group small envelope, inside this envelope there are two or three pictures that you
have to create a pattern from them.
I will make one extra envelope for me to explain, I will show them: for example, here in this
envelope I have cow picture and milk picture, you should discuss with your group and arrange the
pattern after that when I will say time finish, I will ask each group to show us their pattern, by
putting it on the board and describe it like this (our patterns is cow, milk, cow, milk)

Guided Experience and/or Independent Experience

In the guided Experience and Independent Experience my MST will gives the students their mathematics
books, then she writes the page in the board as they usually do they will see the number then they will open
it. (the activity book alignment with the outcome because the student will read and describe patterns in a

Whole

1. She will make sure that everyone opens the right page.
2. Then she will explain to them the activity page by talking.
3. By observing their understanding of what they will do in this activity the teacher will decide if they
need more explaining she will answer one question for them.
4. During their activity, the teacher will move around to observe and help them.

Closing:
1. At the end of the lesson my MST will ask the student to take out their homework diary and she will
give them their math homework books.
2. As they usually do, my MST write the number of the homework page on the board then they open
it.

3. After that she will move around the classroom to bend the homework page and write in their
homework diary the page number and any comment about the student behave and level or write
something that they should bring it to school.

I like this diary that my MST made it for each student, it is very helpful for them and for the parents to know
what their children must do.

Assessment:

I will know if the children understand or not by observing them during the activities.
